Realistically, most signs would say he’s AEW bound. However, maybe he’s growing tired of the 30+ minute matches? Maybe he might view WWE as a challenge; go there and push the limit and shine within the boundaries set by the largest wrestling company in the world. As I said before, a 3 year deal gets him a ton of exposure in the states that he doesn’t currently have besides the hardcore wrestling fan. He finishes his contract and then goes to AEW, and now there are casual fans that will check him out elsewhere. I can't imagine the 30+ minute matches every month or two (aside from the G1 Climax) are more tiring than adapting to WWE's touring schedule. In NJPW, unless it's one of the bigger shows, Omega is essentially working all tag matches on the Road To shows, versus working singles matches at WWE house shows. Maybe. I’m just speculating like everyone else. These guys find ways to keep a lot of stuff under wraps until the last minute, so who really knows besides those having the meetings themselves? But, if he indeed goes to AEW and they’re a weekly show, Will he need to be featured every week? Will they not evolve to the point of using house shows for revenue? I don’t know. I want them to succeed, and Cody knows infrastructure from his WWE days, but there’s a lot of unknowns for Kenny and all his friends. I guess we’ll see.

For argument sakes, yes Im willing to bet Omegas not an idiot and thinks like a businessman instead of a mark, and joins WWE to say he did it, now let me join my friends in AEW cause the star power I built in WWE could help them out. And Ill find joy when the rest of the marks cry that he joined WWE, and Ill find joy as a Kenny Omega fan if he joins AEW, but ill still think hes an idiot and he'll regret not taking the deal if AEW fails. What's the bet?

I'll broker the bet..
If Kenny Omega goes to AEW then 'The Natural Eddy Valintino' has to change his name on these forums, to; AEW Omega Super Fan.
If Kenny Omega signs with WWE, then @anhonorablepod has to change his name on these forums, to; WWE Omega Super Fan.
TERMS OF BET:
1 calender year.
Do all parties agree?

Someone said something about Omega being stupid. If he goes to TNA- I mean Impact, then that.. he's stupid.

I couldn't care less where Omega goes. But I'm certainly not liking where this thread has gone.
I'll make a bet.... betcha can't have one normal conversation without it becoming an issue.

It's a good time for Omega to go to WWE. They have no real top guys other than AJ, Brock, Daniel Bryan, Randy Orton, John Cena and Seth. He could totally get a run at the top of the company.

So if the Bucks’ contract stipulation of an opt-out after 6 months is true and the same thing was offered to Omega, would he be a fool not to take it? I’m sure if he calls it quits at the 6 month mark he only gets a fraction of the money, but could we see him show up on Raw or Smackdown, grab the heavyweight championship, and then drop it a few months later and head to AEW? Realistically, probably not, but it is interesting to think about.

Omega would be crazy not to take the deal. If they're willing to offer the same thing as the Bucks where he can opt out after 6 months, he needs to counter offer where he can opt out at 1yr, that way he can get a legit 6mo run with a major title hit a couple big feuds. Have a couple big matches (Mania/SummerSlam) and then head on to AEW with money, mainstream name recognition, an absolute made feud (where an AEW wrestler can say he sold out) and then continue on like normal.

The only problem with this out clause is, WWE is never going to fully push someone with the risk of losing them so soon.
Like it or not, it doesn't make much sense to bring someone in, give them a spotlight, push em to the moon, let them defeat all your top talent, give them a World title, just to let them walk away a month later. It's bad business.
If they signed with this clause, WWE would certainly wait till that time was over before fully strapping the rocket to their backs. And because it didn't happen INSTANTLY, Meltzer and his followers would be in an uproar about WWE wasting their talent.

That an incredibly dumb comparison (almost as bad as comparing him to Hogan). ALL 3 of those names were huge names in WWE prior. While 90% of American have no clue who Kenny Omega is.

Has nothing to do with talent.

Has nothing to do with talent. It really doesn't have anything to do with talent. Absolutely more people know who she is over him because she's been on American TV. Casual fans aren't searching for a way to watch Japanese wrestling. Omega just isn't a big star here. Honestly it's why most of the nxt call ups aren't pushed to the moon immediately. Nxt fans are only a fraction of wwe fans. Its just how it is.
