For me, Smackdown vs Raw 2006 is my favourite. For the PS2, the graphics were awesome. Plus, the features of the game were great, too. GM Mode was fantastic IMO, a really stacked roster. The only con of GM Mode is some superstar's popularity (ex: Orton should've been higher than 74, Kane, Flair, Jericho, Guerrero, Mysterio should've been a little higher). Other than that, I think it was the best SVR ever produced. I also wanted to say that the season mode in SVR 2006 is personally the best I've ever played, so much creativity. Other games that I wanted to mention are: Smackdown HCTP, & SVR 2011

Probably Here Comes the Pain. Never liked the Smackdown series and was a late adopter to PS2. When I finally bought one I believe HCTP was the first one I played and fell in love with it realizing the series has improved greatly since PS1.

Funny enough, both HCTP and SVR 2006 are my two favorite ps2 titles in the series. HCTP is essentially the most polished arcade style game, taking what made SmackDown 2 great and taking it to the max.
Likewise, SVR 2006 took what made HCTP so great and added more depth and some realistic elements (not as hindering as today's attempts however). In a sense, SVR 2006 is the best balance between arcade and simulation gameplay.
The season in both games were great.

Probably Shut Your Mouth. Although I remember being so excited for HCTP when I saw Rey Mysterio and the Elimination Chamber in the trailer.
I miss those days of wanting to play a WWE game non stop. I would set up tournaments for all the titles, keep a record, have cards and whatever else. Like Universe mode long before that was ever a thing. Nowadays I play a few matches then get bored and Universe doesn't satisfy me.

Smackdown vs Raw 2008.
SVR 2007 was my first game and how i got into wrestling, and i love it but 2008 was my first game as an actual fan of wrestling. Everything from the graphics, to the soundtrack and the renders are awesome and bring back memories to that time. My favourite things at the time was the ECW inclusion and how you could pick a certain weapon under the ring, Sabu, Sandman and Jeff Hardy. Still have my original steel book version (As well as steel book 2007) They may be rusted like hell but i'll always keep them.

Smackdown vs Raw 2006 I loved playing this game. Still play it every now and then. The GM mode on this was fun, I would spend hours playing it. Most of the time I would play both Raw and Smackdown rosters, booking both shows. Also it was with this game that I discovered a website where others had posted their CAW formulas. So I made a lot of CAWS on this game. Some would be using the complete CAW formula I found, others I would use the formula to get the face and body right and then make the attire on my own.

Here Comes The Pain by far. The season mode was so much fun, I never tire of playing it. Can't believe it's 15 years old now!

Tough call, but probably Shut Your Mouth. Here Comes The Pain is an awfully close second.

i would say SYM would be my favorite, if not for the vague reversal system; so HCTP takes the cake

Tough choice, always favored these two above all the rest on the console, I like SYM at times better, other times I prefer HCTP, both great games I grew up with..
SYM: incredible amount of improvements over the previous game at the time, so many small details added eg. remove turnbuckle pads, taunt/attack opponents after the match, climb & dive off titantron sets etc., the roster was packed & you can't go wrong with the nWo included in the game..
Here Comes The Pain: again, another year another great roster, Rey Mysterio & the elimination chamber, the reversal system was perfection & the most responsive at this point, good season mode..

hctp for sure. i have fond memories of renting shut your mouth and trying to complete the season mode before i had to return it haha. sd vs raw 2006 was another good one, mostly in part to the gm mode. the last wwe game i played was 12 and remember enjoying that due to the awesome sim settings i had for universe mode.

As far as hours put into a wrestling game I absolutely slaughtered HCTP. Smackdown Vs. Raw & 2006 are close seconds

That's a tough one to answer. But I think I'll go with SvR 07, closely followed by 06.

Smackdown! Here Comes the Pain was the greatest WWE game ever made IMO. Had the biggest extensive roster (for its time), great mechanics, really fun multiplayer, and great customization.

I know that HCTP gets A LOT of love but I feel like Shut Your Mouth is a heavily underrated game. Awesome roster and fun story mode. But when it comes to the game I own multiple copies of it has to be Smackdown vs Raw 2006. I own it on my PS2, PSP, and even used my disk to put it on my PC. It took up majority of my childhood with GM Mode and the story mode. Great game that still holds up.
