Popfindr and the Monroe NY Target come through. McIntyre and a Black for me and the other two for an overseas friend.  Not sure if the rest will still be there, because the mother of the owner of T0y W!z was there. The Riot figures both had poorly painted eyes. I'm overseas, can we be friends lol |

I caved and bought McIntyre off eBay for $120. I hate myself lol. Not looking forward to having to pay even more for Black. Jesus, $120? I don't mind paying $40 or even $50 but that's a bit much |

ive already accepted the fact im never going to see these in my area, so ill just have to wait until their 2nd elites...hopefully sooner than later

I feel sorry for the people outside the US, you guys always get screwed and have no choice Even when the figures are priced right online, we still get screwed over... The exchange rate between USD - AUD really hits, a figure could be priced for say $55.90 USD (shipped), and when converted to AUD, i'll have to pay almost double that. So if i'm having to pay almost $100, just imagine how bad it'll be for this set when people won't price them right, even after they become widely obtainable. |

So Black is short. It says he’s 6’ yet his figure is much shorter than Bret’s.  I’m sorry, call it nitpicking or whatever but this is mindboggingly ridiculous. Look at those tiny legs, he looks like dead pool with the baby legs regrowing. All that work and effort on the intricate design of the tattoos, cool jacket and scan completely wasted by making him the same height as crash f’n holly. With all the best will in the world how does Bill let this happen?! Surely he stands figures next to each other to get an idea of height and scale when designing these? Then you have the complete opposite parts choosing resulting in Nakamura being a bloody giant amongst men. I don’t know lol. Bill doesn't care enough to actually go through the effort to make sure they're accurate, whenever he sees someone around 5'11 - 6'0, instead of using parts to make them said heights, he just slaps their heads on a Daniel Bryan body (Made to be around 5'7) and calls it a day - Styles, Black, Undisputed, Gargano, Ciampa etc... When you actually look at Black, he's a lot taller than people expect, in the Rumble he was towering over half the guys in there. Hope there's a black lower leg piece that people can swap to give him some more height. |

It is funny that there's so much intricate design work put into that Aleister figure but then they go and use the Daniel Bryan body for whatever reason. It says something when even one of the most vocal pro-Mattel members first insisted it had to be a factory mistake rather than Bill's decision to use those parts lol. The sad thing is they'll never change those part choices either. It's still a fantastic figure but I can definitely understand the criticism.

I just stood my Black up against Gallagher who is billed at 5'8". And Black is just a smidgen taller. So I guess it all depends on who you're comparing him to.
Edit: I just swapped out Black's calves with a pair from an old Jericho. They had the top of his kickpad so it increased the height perfectly. He's almost exactly the same as Hart.

That's $120 Canadian with shipping factored in. In USD it was about $59.99 and then $11 shipping. The rest comes from import fees we have to pay here. |
