During the RSC Christmas sale, I ordered two E51 Sami Zayns with the intention of keeping one MOC to be signed in the future while opening the other for my desk. So one of them has a completely pristine box, but the figure’s short is weirdly hiked up in the package. The other figure looks perfect, but the packaging is banged up. I’ve been going back and forth on which to open, so I decided to throw up a poll here and get some opinions: Reference photos: Both figures:  Wonky shirt:  Banged-up packaging:   |

Haha! Typical calamity. Personally I think the even shirt looks more aesthetically pleasing imo.

Yeah the ‘wonky shirt’ isn’t that bad. Keep the one with pristine box.
personal preference but I voted to open up the banged up box

Open the banged-up box. If you want one MIB - especially to get signed - then it's a no-contest (...the shirt doesn't even look too bad either).

Open the perfect figure one. Keep the other with the shirt MIB, but keep your eyes open for another mib one locally to replace the wonky shirt one before the signing.

The cool thing about these elite packages is that you can carefully open them to re-position the figure and carefully seal it up again. I would do that with the nicer box one and have him sign it. One or 2 pieces of tape used to reseal it would be no big deal for me. I mean when its displayed you'll never notice anyway.

Personally I agree with this, I’ve opened maybe a handful of boxes to fix something or in the case of EG’s flip the switch for the music to play longer. But most MOC collectors don’t want anything done whatsoever, even if it’s the smallest of things. |

Open the damaged package 1.
Back in the days I picked up 2 L1 SCSA. 1 damaged package & the other MIB. I open the MIB 1 cause the knee brace & pad were all jacked up looking. I display the damage package 1, & it bugs me to this day to see the bent crease showing from the inside front of the figure box.
