i still remember seeing stacks and stacks of this ring at toys r us back in the day. my nana wouldn't buy it for me because i already had the original blue ring. crazy to look back on the number of them in the store and see how sought after they've become over the years

I get that Hasbro released the King of the Ring ring because King of the Ring became the 5th pay-per-view in 1993. Why they made the ring yellow with red posts is beyond me; a black ring with blue posts I'd understand.

A commonly held belief is that it was intended to be a 'Hulkamania' ring, but Hogan departed prior to its release, and so a quick adhesive swap was initiated and it became the KotR ring.

I don't remember ever seeing these in stores. I think the first time I saw one was in WWF Magazine in a fan of the month picture where a kid had his Hasbros in this ring.

Sir, you have too many of those and to help you avoid being fined, I'll hide one for you at my house. You're welcome.

Why does no one else tuck the knot inside the turnbuckle? looks so much cleaner when you do.

I always do. Does look so good that way. Like real ropes on a ring and not tied elastic string on a toy. Wanna sell one of those rings? Slide in my dm's bro. Lol.

The only reason that one ring was set up, is because it was sent that way years ago when I bought it and the ringposts were pretty stuck in their holes but same day I took those photos I got the hairdryer out and it soon help pop them out. so the ring ropes were set up how the original owner set it up and sent to me, it's always lived in a cardboard box ever since it was sent.

Love it, great memories and makes me miss Mean Gene even more and his PPV reports. I miss the simple charm of classic WWF like this so much.
