I know this is a silly question with several simple answers but I'm just trying to get an idea of all the possible solutions. You've all probably seen my collection (see signature) and recently I've had issues with a couple of new figures falling off my shelf onto the floor (usually its because the ankle articulation isn't tight or the figures' boots are not completely level for some reason). I've put blue-tac (a sticky putty-type substance) on the bottom of the boots but that still hasn't worked for some of these figures that just seem committed to falling off my shelf. Unfortunately, I do not have enough room on the 'front row' to utilize single display stands with the pegs, but some of these figures are 100% "front row worthy" so what do I do? How can I stop these figures from falling?

You can fix loose ankle joints but putting a drop of superglue on them and then keep flexing the joint for 15-30 seconds until the glue dries. It adds an extra layer of thickness that eliminates the looseness.

I would say the most sure fire way is to not put them on a shelf.

I don't collect nor display loose figures, but this would always be my concern, too. If I was to setup loose figures, I'd get one of those RSC stands for every single figure, unless specific figures came with one already like the Legends figures did before. I wouldn't want to stick them to a shelf in any way.

With open shelves, it’s just a fact of life. Maybe try IKEA Billy bookshelves with glass doors. Otherwise, figure stands help lessen the likelihood, though the fit can be inconsistent and still it won’t prevent all shelf dives. I have a Kamala that occasionally will take out the better part of a shelf.

Super glue. It can be tricky but I am sure there is a youtube video that can walk you thru it.

It's not, as I already noted. You have to keep bending the joint while the superglue dries. This way you retain the motion but lose the looseness.

For loose ankles I wrap tiny clear rubber bands around the ankles. Helps to tighten the joints and easier than the superglue method. For warped feet pop them in some hot water and then press the foot down on a flat surface while it dries.

Put little parachutes on each one, but seriously RSC stands, or maybe you can make a mini guardrail with fasteners an dowel rods? That what I wanna do with mine.

Not having room for a shelf to display them helps

Use that pledge future polish to tighten the joint vs superglue. You can find YouTube videos of it. Not nearly as detrimental as superglue if you mess up.

I'm using RSC stands. I was very nervous about having a fall like you described or a domino effect that would take out half the shelf. I haven't had any space issues using the stands, and the rounded ends make it pretty easy to maximize the space. With the replacement cost on some of the older or higher demand figures, it's well worth the peace of mind for me.

I would say the most sure fire way is to not put them on a shelf. Or keep them lower to the ground. I use Neca stands for almost all my figures except the wrestling figures. Never had a problem but I keep them low to the ground. Actually I ran out of shelf room so now theyARE on the ground!

You could just do exactly like me....stop buying every single figure that comes down the pike.... leave the 6 you do have in the boxes....hang them on the wall somewhere & presto.....no worries LoL
