Yeah, it seems to be a fairly common problem... especially if you've had the figures for a while or kept them in storage. Very annoying.
What's the best way of getting rid of it if you're a MOC collector?

This is the first time I’ve seen or heard this before. Man, I legit feel bad for MOC peeps who have a ton of stuff stored this way.

I tried a blow drier on some DC figures. I don't know if the heat makes it disappear, but it's faster than trying to wipe the dust out of non smooth surfaces. Not sure if it stays away long term. I recently noticed it on some Disney Infinity videogame figures like Falcon, Iron Man, and Donald Duck. I use this method too, as it makes it disappear pretty easily and quickly. But unfortunately after a while it does come back.

I have had it on my DCUC Series 3 Green Lantern and Nightwing. All wave 3 DCUC figures from a certain batch had this problem. My Robin and Deathstroke were a shocker. My Nightwing was and still is perfect but as I said it all depended on the batch.
