I have to say, the one thing I can't get over is the musculature of Kurt Angle figures. It's awful. I don't own a single Kurt Angle figure because of it.
Is there a conspiracy theory out there that this is how WWE or Angle himself would like him portrayed? I don't want to believe the designers look at the same still photos of the guy and see a muscled up freak.
Think about who he shares parts with, the Ultimate Warrior and Ryback. That is unacceptable by modern toy standards. I'm not asking for premium Hot Toy realism, or import quality, but at least keep it realistic. The man on his best day had a good fit body, he wasn't a bodybuilder. A bodybuilder is exactly how he is portrayed in this line.
Contrast this was Mr. Perfect who probably was bigger than Angle in 1990, at his peak. Hennig leans on the small side, which is better than being overly muscled up. I would have been content with a Mr. Perfect body, or a Bret Hart body with shorts.
This has to be something WWE has a say in right?

The "CaNt ChAnGe A mOld TrIcK" like dolph. He has billy gun legs when he needs eg legs but it can't be changed for purposes just like the rock elites for years .(some wrestlers want their figure a bit more buff than they are

I get the spreadsheets thing, but there are other suitable preexisting spreadsheets out there.

The real crime is how obvious it is that Mattel REFUSES to give Roman a closed fist, even with the interchangeable hands they still chose not to.
I would like some clarification though.

Same could be said for sting imo. All the stings have no consistency. The surfer stings have the Batista torso and chicken legs, the crow has roided arms, stumpy legs and inaccurate boots, the Wolfpac version has a thin torso and small arms, then fast forward to the elite? 39 Sting he has roided arms and then his hof has the small arms again. I love the work mattel does, but some of this stuff is questionable. Same thing applies for AJ, Mattel finally gave him wrist cuffs for his gloves, but didn’t bother to give him thicker legs or a bigger torso. The wrestlemania 33 Rollins also had a unique mold and then they went back to thin legs again. You’re telling me they spent money to mold a unique pair of legs to never use them again?

it took 10 years and a hundred triple h figures to finally get rid of the water bottle hand which we were lucky enough to get on thousands of other figures that had no need for it. so im guessing angle is never getting a redo the next razor figure needs an overhall too and of course shawn michaels kickpads. barf i also agree about the stupid looking super bottom heavy crow stings. and of course the stupid looking top heavy surfer stings. anyway spreadsheets...making Mattel's job easier one lazy figure at a time...

What’s this spreadsheet business everyone is talking about?
On topic, the recently released current Angle would be perfect if it weren’t for the crazy big arms! At his biggest, MAYBE Angle needs those, but right now? His arms are closer to Bryan’s than Triple H’s. It’s a travesty that we get stuck with that arm mold for him.

Well, what's better, the Bret torso that's wide enough with too much singlet or the Santino torso that has the right amount of singlet, but isn't wide enough? Maybe there's a better one than those two? I think we need a new one for medium guys that's lower cut, and another for Diesel type that's lower cut than that Takerbeater.

Forget all those flashbacks that everyone wanted getting the terrible jacked up Ryback body, let's just be thankful they took the time to create special unique tooling for the one-off hideous SS17 attire that was hidden under his RAW shirt the entire match that nobody in the entire world wanted.

Mattel puts a figure together and puts the parts for a figure in a spread sheet. Then when they have to use that figure again, or a figure like it, they use the same parts from the spreadsheet. A perfect example of this is the Elite APA & Elite Nitro Notable Outsiders. All of which use shirted torso & jeans but APA wore black gloves. Obviously The Outsiders should have regular hands but because of the spreadsheet, they have gloved hands painted skin tone instead of just simple bare hands which nearly every figure uses.

Another annoying spreadsheets thing is the knee pads. I know we are finally getting them on the recent AJ Elites, but for the longest time they've given us all these penny-pinching excuses about how HBK and AJ figs don't need knee pads because they either match the tights and/or they'd rather save on budget by not including them. But then they go and release a fig like Attitude Era Jericho that has incorrect knee pads (should be plain black) with completely unnecessary paint deco incorrectly making the pads match the tights.... which is the exact reason they gave us for NOT including them with our countless HBK figures. So even after begging for years, our HBK figures still get no pads because apparently the deco matches the tights and they're unnecessary but Attitude Era Jericho gets incorrect/unnecessary paint deco added to his pads to make them incorrectly match his tights. Mattel logic...the only excuse is the spreadsheet they used for Jericho already had knee pads and nobody bothered to double check for accuracy.

Yeah. They gave Stephanie excellent updated versions of the current awful female hands, and they never used them again.
I wish we could get answers, but I don't have any hope since Mattel has never replied any of my emails ever over the years.
As a result, I'm glad I never pay retail price for Mattel products.

I don’t have an issue with any of them other than the arms being too huge. The new Kurt from E66 looks damn near perfect minus those arms. Too much complaining for a $20 figure. Compared to where figures were 10 years ago I’ll take this. If you want unique parts for every figure you get, go buy a Japanese import and shell out the extra $40-$50.
