I have ZERO doubt that it will get bids. and then once the auction ends the person won’t get the money. Imagine paying 500 bucks and the figure is released the next month

I hope it gets no bids and if there were a way to externally post the notice that it would be released on the auction I would do so. Then I couldn't be as mad at the highway robber as the moron who needs a Terry Taylor figure immediately and can't wait a month or two.

It'll be released eventually. Be patient.

The most i ever paid for was E1 Hardy when he wasn't likely to ever see the light of day. now maybe 100.00 for a pete dunne or alexander wolfe since it will be extremely rare but never half a months rent for 1 figure no way.

I want it for my collection but can this believe someone is selling it for that much on the bay. It will definitely warm the shelves.

There are many collectors who are eggcited to add the Red Rooster to the line. We have Bobby the Brain, now we need a Brooklyn Brawler to recreate the feud. If the red was removeable you could have used him as Terrific Terry Taylor when he came back a few years later. Just think before Curt Hennig was Mr. Perfect, Taylor was in the running for the gimmick. There tryout match was on one of the old events in the late 80's.

I don’t think he’s going to be an “in store” item he is supposed to be like the Shark who was an “On-line only” item until people who bought multiples for the perfect figure And free shipping returned their extras.

Terry Taylor spread this rumor. Yeah, Hennig was called Mr. Perfect because he was really good a lot of things, in particular sports, I believe it was Pat Patterson (according to Prichard) who said Henning was perfect at everything. Taylor was called the Rooster because Vince thought he was very arrogant/cocky, I believe Prichard said Vince described him as the cock-of-the-walk like a rooster. Also according to Prichard, he said that they (the creative team) didn't necessarily mean for him to be a literal rooster and that Taylor misunderstood what they were describing. Anyway, it was a bad gimmick but a great figure, hopefully these see the light of day soon.

I never heard this story but are you telling me the sole reason Terry walked around clucking was because he took the gimmick name literal? I know Austin has said (not related to this) that someone once asked him "What's so stunning about you?" as a way of asking what the heck is your gimmick supposed to be, and that the person who asked him was a long time vet. Maybe this was the mentality of those back then. You're named after a "Rooster? Be a Rooster" IDK why but I find this hilarious.

Prichard says in there that Taylor didn't quite understand what they were telling him about the character, they were going to call him the Red Rooster but that didn't mean he had to act exactly like a rooster - though they did want him to do the strut, which wasn't that different than the strut he already did which was copied from Flair. Oddly enough, it was Bruce Prichard's brother, Tom, who asked Steve Austin what makes you so stunning. I believe they were riding in a car traveling to the next city to wrestle, I think it was Austin, Rude, Heyman, and Prichard who were in the car. They were talking about names and gimmicks and he wanted to know why Austin called himself stunning since he didn't act like his monicker, he was more of an aggressive wrestler than a pretty boy.

So Bruce just wanted to give Terry a nickname and have him be arrogant, and Terry went somewhere else with it? LOL The more I read and listen to the Prichards, the more I think they're underrated with wrestling knowledge and how to character build.

The Shark still lives on some TRU shelves in Canada But here in the US when TRU closed Target ended up getting it and he was a Target Online only exclusive.

Good point! But here in Canada we got the Shark at TRU. Could be the same for Rooster? Maybe. Have to see I guess.

LOL The more I read and listen to the Prichards, the more I think they're underrated with wrestling knowledge and how to character build. At that time I think it was more up to the wrestler on how the character would look and act, management gave them an idea and the wrestlers ran with it. A lot of wrestlers at that time came to the WWF with their gimmick/characters already created and perfected (Hogan, Savage, Piper, Jake, Hacksaw, Bundy, Orndorff, etc.), management would just add to it, maybe suggest some things. It looks like Vince and creative started taking over characters designs and development in the early 90s. A while back, on WWE.com, they showed drawings and sketches of character designs (they had Razor, Doink, Hitman, HBK, etc.) and none that were shown were before 1990. It seems, from listening to some wrestlers shoot interviews, at that time, management would give you a name (if you didn't already have one they liked) and an idea but it was up to the wrestler(s) to really create the characters (how they looked and acted).
