I'm going to be completely honest, I wasn't expecting All Elite Wrestling to explode the way it has - and it hasn't even started yet!
To put it plainly, I think AEW is going to poach Impact Wrestling talent if it lives up to its hype (it could still fall on its ass in the end).
I also think there is chance that Impact's overseas broadcasters will drop it in favour of AEW. Some of these broadcasters (Sony ESPN in India and Supersport in Africa etc)
---
I can't see Anthem being too protective over Impact, if they can sell it to make money they will.
I think WWE will buy it. AEW could buy it, though I think they'll be far more interested in acquiring other things. The only thing the company has left going for it is the tape library. This would be no real use to AEW, they'd need a couple of years at least to make a network like WWE, and all the old TNA stars are now in WWE. It would be way easier for AEW to sign the stars it wants, rather than get them through an Impact purchase.
Your thoughts?
I know people have said TNA will die soon for years (I wasn't one of those people), though I think now there is reasonable evidence.

TNA will be the only thing left on this scorched earth after everything else is completely destroyed.

I dont think Impact will survive. They're already on a channel/stream that nobody has/knows about. I think ROH will suffer a lot as well but I think they have a solid enough fan base that they can survive.

Impact will live as long as Anthem wants them to. Even if their top stars get signed away over the coming months/years, as long as they are operating on a budget Anthem could keep throwing them on one of their various channels as cheap programming until the end of time.
If Anthem wants out of the wrestling business or wants to cash in on selling the video library, they're dead, regardless of AEW's situation.
Will it ever be the #2 wrestling promotion? Probably not.
Never underestimate the value of cheap programming filler to tv networks.
But the media and wrestling landscape is a lot different than it was 20-30 years ago. If the finances are in order, it takes a lot to kill a wrestling promotion.

Impact will always exist under some shape or form, I don't see it becoming more chaotic and self-destructive than it has under the Dixie/Jarrett regime. But AEW will be more successful at the beginning at least.

Jeez, can AEW have a god damn show before we predict anyones demise? The only one that can kill Impact is Ed Norholm. Let AEW run a regular schedule with TV, and then we'll talk about competition. Until then, its all speculation with anything AWE is planning.

either way, I see this as a good thing for impact. they may be absorbed by aew, they may be considered an extension of it, they might just be respected affiliates. but this isn’t a bad thing for impact by any stretch, I don’t think. and with aew most likely being more lenient with talents working other dates, and impact being essentially an indie fed, we could see talent cross over similar to roh and tna’s agreement back in the beginning.

ROH is the company at risk. Not Impact.

ROH is the company at risk. Not Impact. I gotta disagree with that as well. ROH picked up some great talent IMO to replace the ones who left. ROH is another company where the only ones that can kill it is their owners.

Impact will die, hell it's been dying for years IMPACT won't die.... IMPACT never dies. The year will be 3000, all life is extinct, the world blew up 100 years earlier and IMPACT will still air.

Impact will never die at this point. It's been reduced to just being another indy fed and they don't have the expenditure of the old TNA days so they'll probably plod along still.
Very sad that the only original left is Abyss though. Having said that he's been washed up for the past 10 years or so. Nobody can take the guy seriously anymore after his character was butchered that much by different creative teams.
