Can we get a new Real Ghostbusters animated movie now too?? Even if it ends up being a direct to DVD lol. Don't know if it's going to be RGB-centered, but there IS an animated Ghostbusters film in the works. It'll be released after Jason Reitman's live action film, though.

a good plot would be having Egon as a ghost, he contacts Stantz somehow and it takes off...

Honestly, I wouldn't mind having Ghostbusters 3 be animated instead of live-action. No matter what, it's not going to recapture the joy of the first two. Bill is 68 Dan is 66 Ernie is 73 Harold is dead Rick is retired No matter what anyone says, it's going to be sad seeing those guys at that age in jumpsuits chasing down ghosts. I don't really want a "torch passing" movie. I don't need a new group of Ghostbusters.

Itโll bomb, just let the Ghostbusters franchise die. (I love it but after fembusters Iโve given up on the series.)

This could be great if handled correctly. My biggest complaint about the reboot was that it ignored the originals completely. Had it been set in the same universe, with a passing of the torch sort of story, I think it would have been more well perceived.

Honestly, the female movie WASN'T 100% awful. Most movies aren't 100% awful. If that would have NOT been a Ghostbusters movie, people wouldn't have disliked it as much.
I'm irritated at Leslie Jones running her mouth about how disappointed she is that they're doing this new movie instead of a sequel and pretending that the female reboot didn't exist. Which, ironically, IS EXACTLY WHAT THEY DID TO THE ORIGINAL MOVIES!

I can not stand her, and I don't get how she became famous. She's not funny, she's loud and annoying. Her and Paul Feig were the two that were part of that movie, that I cannot stand. I'm still convinced, they knew what they had wasn't good, and they made a decision, once the backlash started, they'd pull the sexist card has a deflect, which is just sad. So all those women that saw it and hated it, are sexist too?

So all those women that saw it and hated it, are sexist too? The same thing happened with the Last Jedi. Kathleen Kennedy and Paul Feig both made similar comments in regards to quite a bit of the pre-release criticism of those two films. Nothing can be bad anymore. There has to be some kind of discrimination involved as to why you didnโt like a film... Listen, Iโm from the school of thought that art is 100% subjective. What is good and bad is left to the sole interpretation of the individual viewer. That being said, you canโt bully or guilt your audience into wanting or liking a film. They either like the film in mass, or they donโt. Criticizing the people who paid to see your film is incredibly pathetic.

Wiig and Hemsworth were the two best parts of the movie. I did enjoy some of McKinnon as well. I have never found Jones to be funny at all, and I think I've laughed at McCarthy once or twice in my life. Had they replaced Jones and McCarthy, toned down some of the cheese, and actually made this movie a real GB3 with the original three guys back and working alongside them, I think this movie would have not only been better overall, but it would have been better received by the fans.

I barely watch the show anymore but I am hoping for the upcoming season she's finally removed from the cast.

nothing will top Fembusters and FOX's undoing by labeling people whom disliked both the movie and trailers as "sexist white males"; as potentially bad as this movie may be, it hasn't gotten to the point where insanity seeped through

Not in any rush to see it, but I think it'll be enjoyable if handled properly. I can't see it being great though, at least a nice homage to the originality of the first two would be good.

That all female film was atrocious.
Love the originals. If this is a proper direct sequel to the original two I'd look forward to it.
