I was watching his documentary on the network(highly recommended) and it seemed that if he wanted to now he could wrestle. You think he will have at least one match in wwe or has that ship pretty much sailed?

I am pretty sure he will always have Hepatitis B in his system, so he will never wrestle again.

I thought he was cured but didn't want to do it again unless it was for the E.

To be honest I have absolutely no idea. Never say never I guess.

I think he answered that in the documentary without definitively answering it. I got the impression that he would be able now if he really wanted to, but it sounded like he is content to partake without having to take any more bumps, even if he does miss being in the ring to some degree.

It's not just the hepatitis - he has a history of concussions, as well. That being said, I'd love to see him finally compete in a WWE ring... But he'd need to come out to 'F*ckin' In The Bushes'

One last match with Bryan would be cool, probably.

I thought he couldn't because he was concussed to all hell? That said, he is such a good commentator, and he seems to dig that gig, so why would he?

on topic, i doubt he ever does. but it would be pretty cool to have them build a storyline in NXT UK about it...with like Pete Dunne or something. have him start harassing Nigel for no reason, saying he's washed up, lazy, etc. really build some heat.
and then get to just one match on like Summerslam or Survivor Series...one of the big PPVs. it would help promote NXT UK, it would give Nigel something he could always remember (that he got to have one match on a WWE PPV) for all the work he's done in his career.
but this is the WWE, they dont do things like that. they dont actually care about guys getting things they "deserve"...they just sell the brand and do whatever vince wants, so even if Nigel did want to wrestle one match and he was cleared to do so, it would just be filler on an NXT show or like a dark match at a house show

If they ever booked your idea it would at least take place on an NXT TakeOver so don’t sell them short because Triple H WOULD give Nigel McGuiness that chance.

Perhaps his absolute final farewell match could be at an NXTUK TakeOver, where the fans will give him a proper send-off.

I would love to see him get a match in WWE. A main roster match on a PPV. I was at Turning Point 09 when he faced Kurt Angle and it was absolutely incredible. His stuff in ROH is pretty much legendary at this point, particularly with Bryan. He’s great at what he does now and I think he’s got a happy ending of sorts but he’s a guy who deserved a legitimate shot in WWE.

I wonder how he would have been used had everything went fine in 2009.

From what I heard / understood from the doc was the only reason he was never cleared was lack of funding?
Now he's got a steady income he could buy the treatments? I wonder if this whole documentary was just to educate the casual fan about his history before he has a return match.

I would love to see him return one night only with the iron, the hair, and the wicked lariat. Like someone above said, it would be great for NXT:UK.

Someone asked Dave Scherer on pwinsider about Nigel's possibility of ever wrestling in wwe and here what he said...
First off, he will be 43 years old on Wednesday (Happy Birthday Nigel). That is an age when most talents are winding down. Beyond that, there is no cure for Hepatitis B so WWE can’t take the chance of having someone who has the disease wrestle. If it got accidentally transmitted to someone else they would be on the hook for liability.
