This is a question for people who have had both an Apple Phone and an Andriod phone. Which did you like better? And Why?
I have a Samsung Galaxy S8+. I wanted to upgrade to the S10, when it comes out. Before this I had the S5. And before that I had the S1.
My S1 I used up until it wouldn't take a charge anymore. My S5 eventually had some issues with the audio, it wouldn't register my voice unless I was using a head set. With my S8 my screen is goofy, it has a yellowish tint, and it's not reading my SD card anymore.
I always buy phones in sets of 2. One for me and one for my wife. All 6 of these phones have had some kind of issue.
My wife has been wanting an iPhone for a while. So seeing these Samsung issues is seriously making me consider getting Iphones instead of new Samsungs.
If I get iPhones it would be the first Apple product I buy. And I'm a little worried I will hate it.
So has anyone made the switch, one way or the other? Which would you say you preferred?

Ive always has Android phones and never have had a problem with them. Currently have the S9+. I usually get a new one every 4-5 series. Literally everyone I know that has an Iphone bitches about theirs over something. It blows me away that they will start bitching about it and Ill be like "why not just get an android?" and their response is "Cause Iphones/Apple makes the best phones"....Yet here you are, AGAIN, complaining about it. I feel like its more of a social standard that people feel the need to own an IPhone because its "trendy"

How many paid apps do you and your wife have on your phones? If it's a lot, how do you feel about starting over? In my personal experience that's something that a lot of people don't think to consider when switching to a new mobile OS.

My first step into either of those two brands, phone wise, was an Android, an LG to be exact. While it was a good phone, the screen eventually went black except for a small square in the bottom right corner. I bought another LG and that didn’t last long either.
That’s when I made the change to Apple. So far I’ve had the iPhone 4, 5, 5S, 6 Plus, 7, 8 and X. None of those iPhones have broken. I only upgrade because I like the latest one.

Like I said, I have an S8. The S9 came out last year. I was very tempted to get the S9 and ditch my S8 at the time, just to have the newest phone. When the S9 came out my S8 was fine. Part of the reason I didnt switch from 8 to 9 was the fact that my S8 was fine. Going off of what you're saying you upgrade with every new phone. So chances are that your old phones were ok because you didnt have them for more than a year.

In my personal experience that's something that a lot of people don't think to consider when switching to a new mobile OS. You make a point. But we're talking about thousand dollar phones here. Spending 10 dollars on an app isnt a big deal when compared to the cost of a phone.

I'm also fed up with my provider, Sprint. I think I'm going to try Verizon or ATT.

I have T-Mobile and have an iPhone 6. My phone currently has some battery issues and lags all the time. I've had iphones for a while and quite frankly I enjoy it because of the interface and simplicity. I just hate buying new phones all the time since for me it's not a priority. My brother has a Samsung note S9 and I believe that Andriod has more freedom when it comes to their phones. However, I would stick with apple due to the interface and I like how things are set up. If it weren't for that I'd probably get an android.

With my S8 my screen is goofy, it has a yellowish tintYou sure you didn't accidentally activate the Blue Light Filter? That gives the screen a yellowish tint, i use it on all my devices, i set it up so it automatically comes on at 4pm.

So I was Die Hard Apple fanboy, I had the first iphone and had each model up until the 6. Then I made the switch so the S5 and now currently a S8+ and will be upgrading to S10 when it comes out. I just got sick of apple products, to me the Galaxy line blows the iphone out of the water, way more user friendly, way more choices to customize for your preference. Personally to me it seemed like each iphone that came out they put in stupider features that I didn't want then I had to research how to turn them. Plus I just hated using Itunes for music, depending if you subscribe to a streaming serving that might no matter. But me personally I just feel the Galaxy platform is better I may not customize it to its full potential but it's nice knowing I can when I want to.

I use a cheaper end Android myself (Samsung J3 Prime) and love it.
My Mom had an iPhone 6 for a few years and the thing was nothing but trouble. Seemed like something would go wrong with it at least once a week. Even had to factory reset it three times just to fix various issues. Finally bought her a Samsung android phone similar to mine (but a year newer) and haven't had a problem since.
I know some folks love Apple, but I'll always just get a Samsung Android from now on.

And some letters are seared onto the screen.

Only iPhone I ever had was the 2. Like android better. Apple is mostly just hype. It has a better camera. That's it. Literally all it has going for it.
But my personal belief is that it's just a damn phone. I'll take either if one is significantly cheaper. Usually not much difference though. I'll rock the old Nokia honestly. So much more important crap than which phone I have.

It depends on what you want to spend. There is now an I8 SE for $249 now as they are discontinuing it.

Apple was great for the four years I had it. But the battery life started turning abysmal at the end. And the newer models have bad batteries in general. So I switched to a Galaxy, and I don't think I'll ever switch back. Too much freedom on an Android because the Play Store is a thousand times better than the App Store.

Is anyone interested in the upcoming foldable phones? I'm torn on them.
