It's the 1998 Survivor Series, a mystery man was brought in to replace the top man to win it; The Rock. The Rock was attacked and beaten in the hallway, it could only point to one man Mr. McMahon. Steve Austin had been eliminated by McMahon helping Mankind. It built to Mankind to face the replacement of the other finalist, that man was Hollywood Hulk Hogan. Hogan had returned to a series of boo'es, while Mankind a heel got the fan treatment. It all came down to Hogan putting Mankind in sharpshooter, and McMahon ringing the bell. McMahon's golden boy had returned to the WWF after a long 5 years. Hogan would soon be the center piece of the corporation, Hogan would constantly make mention of coming back and being at the top again. Mankind was the center piece of that resistance, at would lose to Hogan at In Your House: Hollywood via ref stoppage.

Mankind would ask for rematch in a Last Man Standing match the next night, the two would brawl all around the arena. Hogan would win that bloody encounter only for the returning, Rock to come out and save Mankind from post match beatdown; after Hogan vowed to end Mankind's career. The stars were aligned at No Way Out 1999, where The Rock viewed Hogan as one of the lead men holding him down. The feud would be personal, and Hogan would walk away with the victory with the help of a returning Shawn Michaels who cost The Rock the match. WrestleMania 15 was official, Austin Vs. Hogan. The two biggest stars in WWF history, the two men were kept away as far as possible until now. Austin was put in a underdog place and Hogan put the heat on Austin using any advantage he had. Mankind would have defeated Mr. McMahon in with Mankind's career on the line, and The Rock would of defeated Shawn Michaels making a much more different WrestleMania. Hogan would soon pursue Austin further, only with the issue. Mr. McMahon being hunted by the Ministrey grew to be a even bigger problem. McMahon asked for star superstar Hollywood Hogan to aide him. Hollywood would surely agree as this was the man who feeds him his paychecks and has given him a good life. The Undertaker would play pyscho mind games with Hogan and also get inside his head. As the Corporations at this point had been destroyed, Hogan had no protector. Hogan come after Michaels for costing him everything, and pleaded for Michaels to come out of action. Michaels instead sent Ken Shamrock as suitable replacement. Shamrock and Hogan's dynamic was based on Shamrock just looking to face who he was ordered to as Hogan would refuse. Hogan would get his old pales from the Corporation to hold Shamrock back, but that glue did not work. Shamrock and Hogan faced off at Unforgiven 1999, with Hogan winning to the anger of HBK.
