I'm here to nod my head in agreeance that the line would benefit from more Ruthless Aggression heyday figures. I love the Jakks Ruthless line but those figures are no longer top of the line toys. I want so many of those characters as Elites.

If you're WWE, why in the world would you have world reknowned wrestlers under contract, but not utilize their likeness for merch demand?

Maybe we could one day get Helms, Finlay, and/or Kidman but I see zero reason Mattel would ever release Abyss or Sonjay Dutt if they signed with WWE as a trainer or backstage producer. Neither ever appeared in WWE. Why would Mattel release a figure of a TNA lifer as part of a WWE line? Obvious answer: they wouldn't. True. I would say it would also depend on how big they were at the other promotion. Like, if Sting just signed a Legands deal with WWE, but never wrestled in those 3 matches, instead painted his face for event promotions, meet and greets, and Network contributions, he'd still get those Mattel figures. Dutt and Abyss, not so much. If theres a market with your fanbase and money to be made, they'd come out. As I understand it they also legally can't unless Abyss or Dutt would appear in an in ring capacity in the WWE as those characters. The issue came up when people were asking for a TNA era bike shorts AJ Styles when he signed. Where with Sting they own the WCW tape library and all associated intellectual property. edit: that would change if WWE ever acquired the TNA/Impact tape library, which there have been rumors about on and off over the last few years.
