Since it has been announced that the SDL Elimination Chamber will be for the WWE Title, and not a #1 Contender's match like maybe we would have thought, who do you think will face Bryan at WM? I am assuming that Bryan will retain the title at EC and have a legitimate claim that he has beaten all the top contenders on SDL. I dont think it would then make sense to have him defend the title against any of those participants in a singles match, so it has to be someone fresh right? Maybe Cena? Could Batista or Undertaker be long shots? Bray Wyatt?? Someone from RAW? What do you think?

I'm going with the idea I posted in the EC Thread. Daniel loses as the first man in to Mustafa Ali. This sets up a feud that carries into Wrestlemania that isn't for the title. They steal the show.

I wouldn't mind a Joe-Bryan program, be it for the title or not at Mania. Both guys can go, and it would be fresh. There's a lot of ways they can go with this though, and let's hope they don't mess thing's up as WWE has done in the past.

I think his opponents are either Mysterio, Hardy, Ali or Orton and Aj in a Triple Threat since Aj and Orton have been pegged as mania opponents for awhile.

drop orton, and let’s have AJ vs Joe vs Daniel. makes sense as aj and joe had such a long feud that joe never got the best of.

Champions usually don't retain inside the EC, so I don't see Daniel Bryan going to WM as Champion UNLESS he wins it back at FastLane.

I say Bray Wyatt re-emerges and costs Bryan the WWE Title. Then, we get face Wyatt vs heel Bryan at 'Mania. I would like to see it, too. These guys have had great matches before

Since Daniel Bryan is now a heel, I was thinking of three of my personal nightmare scenarios I could definitely imagine WWE pulling off in singles matches:
1. John Cena. This matchup would require Bryan successfully defending the championship at EC. This would fall right into the BIG MATCH JOHN pattern of putting guys over one moment, only to get his win back on a bigger stage with higher stakes on the line. A record-breaking 17th World title reign at Wrestlemania: what's any bigger than that?
2. The Miz. This matchup would also be best with the WWE Championship being on the line. Literally since day one (-ish) of Daniel Bryan's WWE career, Miz has been his personal antagonist. Always being cast as being polar opposites, driven even more by the voice of Troll Cole and his constant bashing of the indie darling and blind admiration of the one-time MTV personality. This eternal rivalry has been hit on occasionally but has yet to really see closure, every time though with fans firmly behind Bryan. While Miz being World Champion again is deserved and welcome (coming from a longtime critic), it coming in this circumstance at the expense of Bryan just doesn't sit well with me.
3. Shane McMahon. Unlike the other two, no title in this one. At least I pray there isn't. Ever since Shane has come back to WWE, his Mania matches have satisfied many but irritated me to no end. The insistence that Shane stood toe-to-toe with the one-loss Undertaker in Hell in a Cell. The insistence of Shane giving AJ Styles, the most talented in-ring competitor WWE has, a run for his money. The insistence of Shane hanging tough for two-thirds of a match in essentially a handicap situation on the heels of suffering a legitimate serious medical problem. What better way to continue this streak than to give Mr. Nepotist a strong showing against one of the best technical wrestlers in WWE. And since that guy is currently heel, why not go ahead and give Shane is first singles Mania win since his comeback? He is "Best in the World" after all.
Those were all options I was considering until recently. Events have now caused me to back off that thinking. Now I can see Bryan losing the WWE Championship to either Styles or Orton in the Chamber, then joining forces with recent convert Rowan and challenging Miz and Shane for the SD Tag Team titles. Why settle for one nightmare scenario when you can get two for the same price?

Hopefully Cena. They’ve got so much backstory to play on, and Bryan’s SJW caricature gimmick would have a field day with JC. Maybe a triple threat with Cena and Miz.
Bryan vs any of the top full time guys on the Smackdown roster would seem like a Backlash or No Mercy type main event.

For awhile now Bryan has talked about wanting to do a hair vs mask match. First he wanted to do it in Mexico, and now he wants it to be against Grand Metalik. So if I had to guess, Rey vs Bryan at WM with a hair vs mask stipulation. Rey would obviously win.
But I do like the thought of AJ/Joe/Bryan in a triple threat.

I’m thinking it’s Cena.

As if there weren't already comparisons to Punk's SES run lol Actually if Mysterio-Andrade somehow gets a singles match at Mania, I'd say Rey putting his mask on the line would be needed to up the ante given how many times we've seen them on TV.

It's going to be John Cena. Picture this. Its Daniel Bryan with Brie Bella vs. John Cena. Half way through the match, Brie gets ejected for repeatedly causing distractions. Cena is about to win his 17th WWE World Championship Title at the grandest stage of them all, with Bryan up for the Attitude Adjustment, and then out of nowhere, Nicki Bella interferes and hits her ex with the lowest low blow in WWE history, helping her Brother-In-Law retain.
Okay, I'm just hoping Daniel Bryan holds the WWE Championship Title Belt at least until replicas of his version of the strap is for sale.

Bryan vs Joe vs AJ would be main event quality for WM.

I’d enjoy a Hardy/Bryan Mania match... with Bryan retaining.
It’s not gonna happen, but I’d enjoy it.

If Joe vs Bryan vs Styles got a good amount of time at Wrestlemania it could be a classic
