Prelude
The lines were drawn heading into WrestleMania 17, father vs. son. History was in the making with the wrestling world forever being changed on March 26th 2001. Mr. McMahon Vs. Shane McMahon! WCW had folded on March 26th 2001, leaving behind a wrestling empire. Shane who had grown to change the company and industry as well as end personal issues at home with Vince's relationship with Trish Stratus. Shane McMahon had taken over WCW, under Ted Turners request adding one final touch. The lines were blurred for WrestleMania 17 in a Street fight and Mick Foley as the ref. It all ended with Shane McMahon's legendary coast to coast winning the match. Shane would cross paths with his old client the Big Show to team up to take on McMahon and his creation ''Hollywood'' Hogan at Backlash 2001. Mr. McMahon and Hogan would win, Hogan during this point would slowly embrace red and yellow again. Slowly but surely, the McMahons rivalry would not end as Shane McMahon would soon make a series of signings as this was a new era in the WWF. Shane would start to bring in the likes of Sting, Ric Flair, and Goldberg as well WCW mid-card like Mike Awesome, Booker T, Billy Kidman, Chavo Guerrero, and Gregory Helms. Tensions between the roster and these men would lead to series of rivalries. Goldberg would soon find himself locked into a feud with The Big Show. Who would soon become jealous of Shane's new stars and that Big Show wasn't Shane's golden boy anymore. Mr. McMahon would compete with these stars, by creating his own answer. McMahon had bought out the ECW in February, and over the next few weeks we would see the likes of ECW stars like Rob Van Dam, Sabu, The Sandman, Tommy Dreamer. WWF stars would not like the ECW stars either, although the ECW would try to fit in with the WWF way of things and try to make friends in the lockeroom. Things would slowly get out of control when Scott Hall and Kevin Nash would appear at Judgment Day 2001.
Backlash 2001 Steve Austin who still was a face in this time would defeat The Rock in a rematch for the WWF Championship. Hogan and Vince McMahon would defeat Shane McMahon and The Big Show
Judgment Day 2001 Important events

Austin would show no respect for Flair and the conflict of eras would take hold heading into Judgment Day 2001. Big Show would try to undermine the fact of Goldberg being one of Shane's boys and that would eat Shane alive and Big Show would allude to Shane turning his back on everyone. Goldberg would defeat Big Show in a strong showing. Triple H would defeat Kane and The Undertaker, Chris Jericho in fatal 4 way match to crown the new 1# contender for Steve Austin. ECW's RVD and Sabu would go up against the WWF's finest in the A.P.A and win only by the help of the Dudly Boyz. Booker T would also see himself in conflict with the WWF's test, leading to Booker T's victory

Steve Austin would defeat Ric Flair for the WWF Championship. Austin would retain his title. Scott Hall and Kevin Nash would also crash the paperview attacking and beating down Steve Austin in there return.

Shane would mention he has a answer to the problem. WCW superstars would slowly get more aggressive in presence, and ECW's place with the WWF only would grow to be in much worse spot. Goldberg would hunt and would find Kurt Angle his next victim. Angle a unsuspecting victim would stand to Goldberg and even use cunning tactics to undermine Goldberg. Triple H and Steve Austin would soon be pushing toward a huge end to their rivalry set for King Of The Ring 2001. The Outsiders would play a huge part in trying to crash this, leading to Hell in a Cell match being declared adding multiple dynamics to Austin and Triple H's rivalry. Austin would close the door on the rivalry with Triple H. Triple H would be hurt in the melee of the chaos of the Cell. The Dudly Boyz would walk defeating the A.P.A with the help of various of ECW stars kick starting a ECW Revolt against Mr. McMahon. The Outsiders would try to attack Steve Austin after his Cell only for Sting to arrive. It would seem Shane had the answer, only for Sting to turn his back on Austin and join the beatdown.
Things in the WWF would become very grey. Sting had joined forces with the WCW in hopes of taking back his livelyhood. Sting mentioned the years of war he had with the NWO and the bad blood of the rivalry but he only hated one thing more then the NWO. The WWF, Sting mentions it had taken away what he loved the WCW. Sting would soon join forces. Hulk Hogan would be in conflict fighting off the WCW attacks on Steve Austin. While no official Invasion has started. Hogan would soon mention he joined back to his family and you can't expect a man to not love his family. WCW Invasion was in full scale with various of attacks and beatdowns on the WWF superstars. The ECW would soon defect to join the WCW, and Shane McMahon had masterminded all of this to create new order in the WWF. Ric Flair was crowned WCW Champion in reward. Things would not seem so dark in the WWF as The Rock had returned to the WWF with Steve Austin struggling to hold Team WWF's line as well as Kurt Angle. Angle and Austin dislike for eachother would slowly manifest after Angle was given the 1# contender's spot after defeating Austin. The Undertaker had stood to Goldberg and showed no fear. Ric Flair was opposed by the mouthy brash and cocky Chris Jericho. Things were red hot for Summer Slam 2001.

Mr. McMahon was at dyer need to stop this, and it needed to be done now or never. NWO/WCW/ECW expansion was swallowing up many former stars that belong to the WWF like the Dudly Boyz, Taz, and Dean Malinko. Raw almost felt like Nitro, and McMahons seems driven to insanity and assembles a WWF team putting power in Steve Austin and The Rock to lead the charge. The tenseness of the two rivals as well as the recent failures would lead to morale in the gutter. Steve Austin, The Rock, Kurt Angle, and Chris Jericho all four characters would play a huge conflict in personality. Shane McMahon had put together the NWO and Ric Flair as his bid. This would put together a 4 on 4 Elimination match set for Unforgiven 2001. The stipulation was Raw was on the line. Undertaker and Goldberg would be confined to a Steel Cage to continue the rivalry. Sting and Kane would cross paths for this event. As well as well as a side story would see the WCW/NWO walk on the ECW superstars and see them as weaklinks and down play how huge RVD's victory was. RVD would not see eye to eye with Booker T who would continue to downplay RVD's stance. Tommy Dreamer and Sandman would defeat Dudly Boyz to crown the ECW Tag Team Champions. Team WCW would walk away the victors in a thrilling match leaving Hogan and Flair the last two survivors. Goldberg would continue his winning streak, Sting would also defeat Kane and RVD would defeat Booker T soundly.
WCW/NWO/ECW Soldout
WCW/NWO/ECW had taken over Raw. It was over for Raw and the WWF had migrated as a last hold on SmackDown. Raw would become Nitro and be very NWO/WCW centric. While focusing little on the ECW roster. A slowly building tension was created when RVD stated his intention to create a ECW Championship. Hogan would continue to push around RVD and this was noted. Hogan would look to RVD to doing his dirty work and build him up as his protege. Chris Jericho had one more shot at Ric Flair and this time it was 2 out of 3 falls. The WWF was slowly caving in and fear of Invasion on SmackDown was coming. Goldberg and Sting would seek to put to Sandman and Dreamer's in line in a Tag Team match. Kurt Angle would defy the odds defeating Hollywood Hogan, and Chris Jericho would win the WCW Championship. Austin and The Rock defied differences defeating the Outsiders while Goldberg and Sting had put Dreamer and Sandman in there place.
Survivor Series 2001
The WWF has lived to see another day with huge victories from the failed final takeover plan. Although the WWF was still fragile and things seem to be in a bust the next night on nitro when WCW/NWO/ECW Superstars had Jericho, Austin, The Rock, and Angle surrounded until ECW broke out in rebellion and Paul Heyman has returned. Heyman had returned to take hold of ECW and his child that was ECW. Heyman would be the spiritual leader of the ECW. The NWO/WCW was taken off guard as well as mocked with the returns of the B.W.O. ECW had ambitions to take over Nitro. The WWF stood at ease letting his foes clash, but still in a fear. Ric Flair would be defeated by Tommy Dreamer. As well as various cross promotional WCW/NWO Vs. ECW mathes took place.
December to Remember 2001
The ECW had declared to have it's own event and with the WCW/NWO on the ropes things looked grim and that ECW was going to take hold of the Invasion. The Rock and Chris Jericho have hit a boiling point and it was time to put up or shut up for the WCW Championship. Kurt Angle would face Steve Austin live on paperview for the NWO Championship. RVD, Dudly Boyz, Sabu and Tommy Dreamer, Raven would face NWO, Ric Flair, Goldberg, and Sting in 6 on 6 King Of The Mountain match for control over Nitro. The Rock would defeat Chris Jericho for the WCW Championship, Angle would defeat Austin for the NWO Championship but the ending would be in question, The NWO/WCW would walk away in victory defeating the ECW.
Royal Rumble 2002

The stakes were high with the Royal Rumble on the horizon. The WWF looked to hope but only saw a continued decline. Sting had been cost the Royal Rumble with The Undertaker's mind games while Goldberg made it to the finals only to be eliminated by the returning Triple H.
Starcade 2002
Triple H had returned to the WWF, and a lot has changed and every dynamic has. Triple H still sees tension with Steve Austin, and The Rock. Triple H is determined on to getting to WrestleMania. WCW/NWO send out everyone they can to stop him. Goldberg was the man for the task and Triple H was faced with a foe hes never faced before in Goldberg. Triple H would prevail and go on to WrestleMania. Sting would face Austin in 1# contenders match for the title not chosen, and Austin would win again by Undertaker's mind games. Hollywood Hogan would defeat Kurt Angle for the NWO Championship to conclude the rivalry. Ric Flair would defeat Chris Jericho, and The Rock in Triple Threat for the WCW Championship.
WCW/NWO's ego grown so wild, McMahon would mention in 2003 when it's this time there will be no WrestleMania and Starcade will take it's place. WCW/NWO would seem to grow larger and the WWF would be on the verge of final defeat and WCW/NWO wanted more expansion and a desire to bring back Thunder. The battle lines were drawn when Shane wanted to lay it on the line at WrestleMania 18 in a Wargames match for control over the WWF. One company must go. Vince had only been drawn in when the personal rivalry of both father and son was revissted. Triple H would seem to fail to be able to take Hogan on one on one without something getting in his way. The idea was set to put it all on the line winner takes all.
