PPV/Supercard Talk #3: The Great American Bash '85

I’ve never seen the event so wont comment on the main part.

For me personally, I’d say yes include the wrestling classic. I’ve never seen that one either but great to see the matches that others like the I can check them out.

1) What do you rate this event? (1-5, 5 being the best): 3

2) What were you looking forward to or most excited to see at this event?: Being that I didn't see this event until 2002 I wanna say, I went into it completely unaware of any matches on the card, so I was excited just to watch the entire event!

3) What did you like most about this event?: How it was outdoor in a big stadium

4) What did hate most about this event?: Some of the under card matches weren't that great

5) What could/would have made this event better to/for you?: If they showed the whole event in its entire format instead of the 60 minutes we got on the VHS release.


a) best match: Dusty Rhodes vs. Tully Blanchard

b) worst match: The six man tag match was kind of underwhelming

c) fav match: Road Warriors vs. The Russians



**Final Thoughts**: I was pretty stoked to watch this because it was the first Great American Bash show. I remember reading about it in old PWI magazines, so when I finally got a chance to rent it at a video store, I did. I wasn't disappointed in it. Still to this day, I am confused as how the AWA Tag Champions got to be on an NWA card. But I believe this was the early stages of the Road Warriors leaving the AWA for the NWA full time. Still, everyone needs to watch this show at least once in their life!
