I really wanted to be excited about ABA Undertaker, it's just not working for me  I am thrilled about the Ultimate line and Sheik Retrofest. My collection pretty much cuts off right before the Attitude Era... but I might need those Hardys. I've also avoided getting sucked into the retros despite growing up on Hasbro, but I might need that Macho. |

With the Retrofest line now expanding to 80s guys, I wonder who we will get in the future? Im not trying to be a dick (for once) but hasnt the Retrofest line always been 80s guys? The latest attires are of Macho (93) and Perfect (92) and they are still normally seen as 80s wrestlers. As someone else said, it's early 90s (or very late 80s) attires...Based around the Wrestlefest game that came out in 91. Sheik is the first attire to come from the mid-80s. |

Nice surprise on that Macho Retro! Preordered 2x of Macho and Goldust! The head bothers me a bit on that Macho like others mention, but I think the reuse of those Austin boots are the worse part. They need to make the proper mold for correct height boots on these guys.

Macho retro is an awesome little nod. The Brood Hardyz look great. Mabel and Patterson look great. I do hate that Mattel is going to put the figures most of us want the most as chase figures or exclusives and put Brie Bella in the main line, a figure that no one wants or the 100th Roman Reigns elite. Its like, "do you want to make money or just continue to piss off your customers"? I got up at 5 this morning to finally track down a Bob Backlund figure. Crazy yes, but if I didnt I would probably never see the figure ever!

So, thoughts.
Elite 68
Daniel Bryan - Headscan looks good but it looks likes it's painted on like the rest of his Elites, hope that's not the case. Should have been the chase for the set in his WM34 attire.
Roman Reigns - Looks good, nothing wrong with it and they finally gave him a Superman Punch hand, might get it on sale one day.
Brie Bella - Why? Who asked for an Elite Brie Bella? That Botch machine didn't need an Elite and shouldn't be in the set. Sad thing is, now we're guaranteed a Nikki Bella within the next 2 sets.
Braun Strowman - Why? Why do we need another IDENTICAL Strowman? It's the EXACT SAME as Elite 62 with a slightly altered head... The accessories are stupid and this figure is just awful. We'll probably get the same Braun again in 3 more series...
Undertaker - The torso looks a bit weird, especially that black part in the middle, but the rest looks good. The head looks good with the Glasses so i assume it'll good without them too. A cloth jacket would have been much better than a Kane mask.
Mabel - Looks amazing, an entirely new sculpt aside from the arms and boots. I don't think it needed to be a Chase though, the Chase doesn't look that much different. Hopefully with this, we'll get a Viscera or Big Daddy V soon.
Pat Patterson - Looks fine, the accessories are cool and you get 2 in 1 so neat.
Battle Pack 59
Hardy Boyz - They're decent, nothing special.
Styles/Mahal - Bleh, just bleh. Why does Mahal keep getting elbow pads when he doesn't wear them?
Rollins/Ambrose - Awful. This pack only has value for Seth's head, other than that it's a pile of hot garbage. Can they give the Shield figures a break? we don't need 10,000 of them.
RSC Exclusive Hardyz
Amazing, already pre-ordered. The cloth shirts are a great touch and that Jeff head looks much better than the WM Battle pack version, Matt's head is amazing too with the hair over the face. Must haves, easily in the top 5 figures of the year already.
Basic 96
Daniel Bryan - It's alright, the large kneepads look stupid though.
Bobby Roode - Meh, the headscan is decent.
Sasha Banks - Meh again, the purple hair is neat.
Kevin Owens - Looks alright, mainly good for the head.
Sami Zayn - Actually looks good, shame the first attire wasn't an Elite.
Retros - Couldn't care less about them.
Ultimate Editions
Ronda Rousey - Looks good, the hair out head doesn't look much like her but the others are fine.
Ultimate Warrior - It's okay, not really a Warrior fan so not that interesting. The torso articulation is meh too.

Will probably make Mabel a necessity for my fed (boy what a Chase fig right there), and Bryan and Reigns for my MOC collection. Taker could have been loads better with a plastic shirt rather than making it his torso mold. Brie and Braun? No thanks.
Brood Hardyz look fantastic, will try to get one or two sets eventually.
Said in the earlier Patterson thread (now locked) I'd pass. Cool to see more plans for RetroFest, but Sheik isn't an immediate purchase for me.
Not a fan of the new torsos for the males on the UE figures. It'll pain me to see someone I'd like to own, with a plethora of accessories, come in that line.

Lol at people upset about Brie Bella, which is once again a reminder that despite popular belief around here, this forum is not the main target demographic.
I haven’t gotten a Brie figure since the first Bellas set in 2012 so I’m actually glad to get an updated one
With a little bit of work, those Hardy Boyz could pass for their WM X-Seven attire. Jeff would need a new mesh shirt tho

On what planet does someone designing those figures, think its a good idea to make that attire with a cloth shirt (MAYBE...MAYBE if ur also giving them cloth pants ala Jakks Finishing moves figs that u could potentially tuck those shirts in). We already knew that Jeff head was bad. And the new Matt head doesn't represent his slicked down stringy hair in his face. Even Jakks got that one right. If Jakks scale wasn't so wack...i would argue that the Jakks version of these Hardyz was better

is the sheik red or orange? they already did the orange on a basic. So it looks like the red...but just the wrong shade of red? ya it's like a dark salmon color in the pics. im cool with orange or red but if it's some weird hybrid he never wore that'll be stupid |

(which was also too light of a red for the Funker as well). Heck, feet to the fire, it looks like not only did they use the bright red Funk trunks. It almost looks like they didn't even use the Iron Sheik torso..and looks like the Funk body as well. |
