The 2016 Royal Rumble Match is another Royal Rumble that was a missed opportunity especially since it was for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship so that being said how I would rebook it from bell to bell:
- Roman Reigns would still be #1 entrant being the WWE World Heavyweight Champion and him having to defend his title against 29 other men in the Royal Rumble Match. Roman being the marked man coming into the match by way of the McMahons as a way to stick it to Roman or to further stack the deck against Roman. Entrant #2 is still revealed to be Rusev (League of Nations) as the 2 of them begin to brawl until the countdown starts to #3.
- Entrant #3 is revealed to be Bo Dallas but Bo doesn't get into the ring. Instead he does his signature Bo-lieve victory lap around the ring once he sees that Roman Reigns and Rusev are both down. He does this for a good solid minute until he gets into the ring where Roman and Rusev are both waiting for him. Rusev hits a Machka Kick on Bo Dallas which of course stuns Bo into a Spear from Roman Reigns. Reigns eliminates Bo Dallas as Bo is the first elimination.
- Entrant #4 is revealed to be New Day member Xavier Woods who is entering his first Royal Rumble Match. Xavier Woods and Rusev double-team Roman. Rusev holds Reigns up for Woods to hit Roman. Woods charges off the ropes and when he goes to hit Roman...Roman ducks as Woods accidentally hits Rusev. Reigns then all of a sudden is beating on Woods until Rusev intervenes. Countdown starts to the #5 entrant and #5 is revealed to be Goldust.
- Goldust, Xavier Woods and Rusev triple-team Roman...no doubt the McMahons are loving it as they are seen backstage watching the Royal Rumble Match on a TV monitor. Back to the ring Roman Reigns is still being triple-teamed until he manages to turn the tide back in his favor. Countdown then starts to the #6 entry. Entrant #6 turns out to be...The Show Off Dolph Ziggler.
- Reigns has some help but the numbers game catches up to Reigns and Ziggler as it is 3 on 2 as Rusev, Goldust and Xavier Woods overwhelm them until Ziggler hits a Superkick on Rusev. He then hits another on Goldust however he gets stopped in his tracks by Xavier Woods. Reigns then gets involved as he not only beats on Xavier Woods but then afterwards picks up Rusev and throws him over the top rope to shockingly eliminate Rusev. Reigns afterwards eliminates Goldust in succession. Afterwards Ziggler out of nowhere turns on Reigns. Ziggler and Woods then team up on Woods until Ziggler turns on him. Countdown to #7 starts. Entrant #7 turns out to be...Adam Rose.
- Reigns sees him coming and out of nowhere eliminates Adam Rose as soon as he gets in. Reigns then takes control afterwards as he then begins beating on both Woods and Ziggler. Reigns then hits a Superman Punch on Xavier Woods and then also hits one on Dolph Ziggler. Reigns then takes Xavier Woods and chucks him over the top ropes and to the floor eliminating him. Reigns and Ziggler then begin to fight it out until the #8 entrant comes. Entrant #8 is revealed to be another League of Nations member it is none other than the WWE United States Champion Alberto Del Rio.
- Del Rio immediately goes after Reigns and then he also goes after Ziggler too. Del Rio then starts to beat on both of them like he is doing a real number on them. Eventually the countdown clock starts up again as it counts down to the #9 entry. Entrant #9 is revealed to be...League of Nations leader the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus who never got his 1 on 1 rematch for the title. Sheamus and Del Rio then start to really clobber Roman like beating the hell out of him as they also do the same to Dolph. Rusev comes back after being eliminated and Barrett also comes out as the 4 League of Nations members swarm the ring as they all get in and start beating on Roman Reigns as they drag him out of the ring underneath the bottom rope. Roman hasn't been eliminated as Roman of course tries to fight back but the numbers game is too much to overcome as the League members hit their individual finishers on Roman on the outside. They then start to take apart the announcers table and put Roman's prone body on top of it. Rusev then afterwards hits a Splash on Roman Reigns through the announcers table. Rusev and Barrett leave of course. Reigns is taken to the back. Sheamus and Del Rio then get back into the ring as they double-team Ziggler.
- Countdown to entrant #10 begins and entrant #10 turns out to be...Chris Jericho!!! Jericho enters the ring as he takes the fight to both Sheamus and Del Rio. Ziggler then of course is back in it as he and Jericho basically team up against Sheamus and Del Rio. Eventually the countdown clock starts up again and entrant #11 turns out to be Stardust. Numbers game is 3 on 2 again as Stardust, Del Rio and Sheamus get on Ziggler and Jericho.
- Countdown to entrant #12 begins as entrant #12 turns out to be New Day member Big E. Numbers game goes to 4 on 2 until Big E out of nowhere turns on Stardust hitting the Big Ending on Stardust and then eliminating Stardust from the match. Big E then hits Sheamus and Del Rio with Belly to Belly Suplexes and then starts his New Day clapping. He is about to go for his signature Splash on Sheamus while Del Rio is also down and Ziggler is in the corner. Big E charges off the ropes but then walks right into a Codebreaker from Jericho as he hits it on Big E and then he throws Big E over the top rope eliminating Big E.
- Countdown starts up to the #13 entry and entrant #13 turns out to be surprise entrant??? THE PHENOMENAL AJ Styles...The Phenomenal One is in a WWE ring. The fans are losing their crap as Jericho, Ziggler, Del Rio and Sheamus are all in shock. AJ Styles then gets in and as soon as he does he takes the fight to everyone as he is not playing any favorites. Countdown clock starts up again and entrant #14 turns out to be Big Show.
- Show gets in and as soon as he does he basically goes after everyone too as he then hits Del Rio with a KO Punch and then afterwards hits a KO Punch on Sheamus. Ziggler of course tries to hit a Zig Zag from behind on Big Show but Big Show blocks it and Dolph falls back as he falls into the ropes and when Dolph charges off the ropes Big Show hits a Spear on Dolph almost breaking him in half. Jericho and Styles try to double-team Big Show but of course it doesn't work as Big Show overpowers them both. Big Show is the only one left standing as he is waiting for the next man to get in. Countdown to entrant #15 starts as #15 is revealed to be Wyatt Family member Luke Harper. Harper then gets into the match as he and Show are face to face. They start to fight it out but who comes back into the ring??? None other than Roman Reigns as he comes back under his own power as Roman has a second wind after that mugging. Roman then hits a huge Spear on Big Show and he then hits a Spear on Harper. Reigns then eliminates Big Show and he eliminates Luke Harper as well. Reigns then goes on a tear as he eliminates Del Rio too but then gets stopped in his tracks by Sheamus. Reigns then begins brawling with Sheamus as AJ Styles is brawling with Jericho. Reigns then hits a Superman Punch on Sheamus. Cue Mr. McMahon's music of No Chance. Reigns is waiting for Vince and Vince of course comes out Power Walk and everything as it looks like Vince is out there to fight Roman. Vince then just is about to get to the ring but stops himself. Reigns begins talking trash to Vince but who is in the ring? Triple H is in the ring as he snuck into the ring from underneath the ring as Triple H is in the ring and Roman has no idea. Vince then gets on to the apron or he is about to when Triple H eliminates Roman Reigns from the Royal Rumble Match ensuring that there will be a new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Reigns is angry as hell as he can't believe it as Reigns then stalks after both Triple H and Vince as they both high-tail it out of there.
- Countdown to #16 begins as entrant #16 is revealed to be Ryback. Ryback is then fighting it out with Sheamus, Jericho and Styles until the #17 entry comes in. Countdown to #17 starts and entrant #17 is revealed to be the 2nd Wyatt Family member Erick Rowan. Rowan gets in and he is fighting it out with Ryback as Sheamus sets his sights on AJ Styles while Jericho is off to the corner.
- Cut to backstage Roman Reigns catches up to the McMahons but they get in their limo and speed off. Cue Roman and HHH's feud really taking off after this. Cut back to the ring where Rowan is really taking it to everyone until the #18 entry starts up and entrant #18 is revealed to be...
Surprise entrant Cody Rhodes as Cody comes out to his old music as he is not Stardust. Cody is pulling a double-header much like Mick Foley pulled the 3 Faces of Foley...Cody Rhodes does the same with the 2 Faces of Cody. The fans are in shock as the commentators are losing their crap as Cody gets in and immediately goes in after everyone.
- Eventually the countdown to #19 starts up and entrant #19 is revealed to be... 3rd Wyatt Family member Bray Wyatt as Bray gets in. We are left with Wyatt, Rowan, Cody Rhodes, Jericho, AJ Styles, Ryback and Sheamus as the ring starts to fill up. Wyatt and Rowan begin to team up as they eliminate Ryback and eliminate Cody Rhodes right after. Sheamus of course rolls to the outside as he sees what is about to happen. Jericho and Styles team up to fight it out with Wyatt and Rowan until the countdown to #20 starts and entrant number #20 turns out to be??? The biggest member of The Wyatt Family...the 4th member Braun Strowman The Black Sheep. Strowman gets in and as soon as he does he, Wyatt and Rowan overwhelm AJ Styles as well as Chris Jericho but they aren't eliminated. Sheamus of course is staying out of the fray as he is on the outside. Entry #21 countdown starts and entrant #21 turns out to be...WWE Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose. Ambrose showing no fear is about to get in when he sees Sheamus and walks over to Sheamus as he and Sheamus start to brawl on the outside. Ambrose then throws Sheamus into the ring and as soon as he is back in the Wyatt Family begin beating on Sheamus. Jericho and Styles then are back in the fray as Ambrose then gets into the ring. However, it turns into Ambrose, Styles, Jericho and Sheamus teaming up against Wyatt, Rowan and Strowman. Ambrose ends up being the one to eliminate Erick Rowan from the match.
- Countdown to entrant #22 starts as entrant #22 is revealed to be...Neville. Strowman then all of a sudden gets a second wind as he then just beats the holy hell out of Jericho, Styles, Ambrose and Sheamus even. Wyatt and Strowman overwhelm Neville easily and then Strowman throws Neville over the top rope and to the floor to eliminate him. Bray Wyatt loves it as Wyatt & Strowman are the only ones left standing. Countdown to entrant #23 starts and #23 turns out to be...the 3rd New Day member Kofi Kingston. Kofi doesn't get in right away as he takes his time coming in as he sees Wyatt and Strowman in the ring waiting for him so he stays out of the fray.
- Entrant #25 countdown eventually starts up and it is another surprise entrant...none other than Sami Zayn. Sami of course sees Kofi and comes up from behind him grabbing Kofi and then throwing him right into the ring as Sami then gets in as he is taking the fight to Braun Strowman and Bray Wyatt until Jericho and Styles and Sheamus and Ambrose overwhelm Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman. Countdown to #26 starts and entrant #26 turns out to be Kane. Kane then immediately goes right to Kofi Kingston as he takes him down with a Chokeslam. Kane then hits a Chokeslam on Sami Zayn, Ambrose, AJ Styles and Jericho. He then sees Sheamus trying to come in with a Brogue Kick but Kane side-steps and then hits Sheamus with a Chokeslam too for good measure. Kane then sees Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman coming as Kane takes the fight to them both as the countdown clock starts to #27 as the lucky #27 turns out to be The Miz. Miz rather than get in with Kane goes right to the commentary table to talk on commentary. This distracts Kane as Braun Strowman and Bray Wyatt from behind eliminate Kane.
- Entrant #28 countdown starts as entrant #28 turns out to be Tyler Breeze as he gets in. However, he is almost caught immediately by Braun Strowman. Strowman easily overpowers Breeze and then throws him over the top rope and to the floor. Strowman and Wyatt with that second wind basically go to work on who is left in the ring that being Ambrose, Zayn, Kofi, Styles and Sheamus. Miz of course is too scared to get in as he is still on commentary. Countdown to #29 begins as entrant #29 turns out to be the former WWE Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens. Owens immediately goes after his former best friend/bitter rival Sami Zayn as they are going back and forth punching each other hockey style as the fans are loving it as Zayn gets the upper hand until Kevin Owens goes down low on Sami Zayn hitting him with a low blow and then throwing Zayn over the top rope and to the floor eliminating Zayn. The fans are booing the crap out of Owens until he is caught by Ambrose as the 2 of them are seen brawling. Bray Wyatt then eliminates Kofi Kingston. We are left with Ambrose, Jericho, Owens, Styles, Sheamus, Miz, Strowman and Wyatt. Everyone turns their attention to the Wyatts as Miz gets off of commentary to join back into the match. Everyone turns on Wyatt and Strowman as they are beating the holy hell out of Wyatt and Strowman.
- Countdown to #30 starts as entrant #30 turns out to be?? THE BEAST THE CONQUEROR THE MAYOR OF SUPLEX CITY Brock Lesnar. Lesnar comes out at #30 and as soon as he does...Lesnar completely goes to town on everybody. Lesnar takes Wyatt and Strowman to Suplex City. Lesnar then takes Miz, Sheamus, Owens, Jericho and Ambrose all to Suplex City hitting them with Suplexes. Lesnar is the only one left standing or so he thought as Lesnar and AJ Styles are face to face for the first time ever. The fans are losing their crap as Lesnar and Styles go back and forth with one another until AJ gets his first taste of Suplex City. Strowman is back up and tries to eliminate Brock but Brock pulls the rope down and Strowman's own momentum takes him out of the Royal Rumble Match.
- Wyatt has no help as he is by himself. Lesnar then eliminates Sheamus and Miz at the same time simultaneously. Owens tries to eliminate Lesnar but Lesnar with a Belly to Belly Suplex suplexing Owens out of the Royal Rumble Match.
- Final 4 we are left with Ambrose, Lesnar, Wyatt and Jericho. Bray Wyatt eliminates Jericho as Jericho was the Iron Man for the Royal Rumble Match. However, as soon as Lesnar starts to gain even more momentum the Wyatt Family signature goes off and the lights go out and the Wyatt Family signature goes off again and the lights come back on...the Wyatt Family surround the ring. Rowan, Harper and Strowman surround Lesnar as Wyatt also swarms Lesnar. It is 4 on 1 as the Wyatt Family are really beating on Lesnar as all 4 of them give Brock their finishers one after the other. Brock of course is prone and limp as Bray Wyatt then afterwards tells Rowan, Harper and Strowman to throw Brock out. They do as Brock has been screwed out of the title as the Wyatt Family (Harper, Strowman and Rowan) leave. Brock afterwards goes off in pursuit of Rowan, Harper and Strowman with Heyman in tow.
- Final 2 we are left with Wyatt and Ambrose. Ambrose and Wyatt fight it out and it eventually ends up in Ambrose throwing Wyatt over last to win the Royal Rumble Match to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Ambrose is a Royal Rumble Match winner but also he wins the title that was once his best friend Roman's title.

Kofi doesn't get in right away as he takes his time coming in as he sees Wyatt and Strowman in the ring waiting for him so he stays out of the fray.
- Entrant #25 countdown eventually starts up and it is another surprise entrant...none other than Sami Zayn. Sami of course sees Kofi and comes up from behind him grabbing Kofi and then throwing him right into the ring as Sami then gets in as he is taking the fight to Braun Strowman and Bray Wyatt until Jericho and Styles and Sheamus and Ambrose overwhelm Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman. Countdown to #26 starts and entrant #26 turns out to be Kane. Kane then immediately goes right to Kofi Kingston as he takes him down with a Chokeslam. Kane then hits a Chokeslam on Sami Zayn, Ambrose, AJ Styles and Jericho. He then sees Sheamus trying to come in with a Brogue Kick but Kane side-steps and then hits Sheamus with a Chokeslam too for good measure. Kane then sees Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman coming as Kane takes the fight to them both as the countdown clock starts to #27 as the lucky #27 turns out to be The Miz. Miz rather than get in with Kane goes right to the commentary table to talk on commentary. This distracts Kane as Braun Strowman and Bray Wyatt from behind eliminate Kane.
- Entrant #28 countdown starts as entrant #28 turns out to be Tyler Breeze as he gets in. However, he is almost caught immediately by Braun Strowman. Strowman easily overpowers Breeze and then throws him over the top rope and to the floor. Strowman and Wyatt with that second wind basically go to work on who is left in the ring that being Ambrose, Zayn, Kofi, Styles and Sheamus. Miz of course is too scared to get in as he is still on commentary. Countdown to #29 begins as entrant #29 turns out to be the former WWE Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens. Owens immediately goes after his former best friend/bitter rival Sami Zayn as they are going back and forth punching each other hockey style as the fans are loving it as Zayn gets the upper hand until Kevin Owens goes down low on Sami Zayn hitting him with a low blow and then throwing Zayn over the top rope and to the floor eliminating Zayn. The fans are booing the crap out of Owens until he is caught by Ambrose as the 2 of them are seen brawling. Bray Wyatt then eliminates Kofi Kingston. We are left with Ambrose, Jericho, Owens, Styles, Sheamus, Miz, Strowman and Wyatt. Everyone turns their attention to the Wyatts as Miz gets off of commentary to join back into the match. Everyone turns on Wyatt and Strowman as they are beating the holy hell out of Wyatt and Strowman.
- Countdown to #30 starts as entrant #30 turns out to be?
? THE BEAST THE CONQUEROR THE MAYOR OF SUPLEX CITY Brock Lesnar. Lesnar comes out at #30 and as soon as he does...Lesnar completely goes to town on everybody. Lesnar takes Wyatt and Strowman to Suplex City. Lesnar then takes Miz, Sheamus, Owens, Jericho and Ambrose all to Suplex City hitting them with Suplexes. Lesnar is the only one left standing or so he thought as Lesnar and AJ Styles are face to face for the first time ever. The fans are losing their crap as Lesnar and Styles go back and forth with one another until AJ gets his first taste of Suplex City. Strowman is back up and tries to eliminate Brock but Brock pulls the rope down and Strowman's own momentum takes him out of the Royal Rumble Match. - Wyatt has no help as he is by himself. Lesnar then eliminates Sheamus and Miz at the same time simultaneously. Owens tries to eliminate Lesnar but Lesnar with a Belly to Belly Suplex suplexing Owens out of the Royal Rumble Match.
- Final 4 we are left with Ambrose, Lesnar, Wyatt and Jericho. Bray Wyatt eliminates Jericho as Jericho was the Iron Man for the Royal Rumble Match. However, as soon as Lesnar starts to gain even more momentum the Wyatt Family signature goes off and the lights go out and the Wyatt Family signature goes off again and the lights come back on...the Wyatt Family surround the ring. Rowan, Harper and Strowman surround Lesnar as Wyatt also swarms Lesnar. It is 4 on 1 as the Wyatt Family are really beating on Lesnar as all 4 of them give Brock their finishers one after the other. Brock of course is prone and limp as Bray Wyatt then afterwards tells Rowan, Harper and Strowman to throw Brock out. They do as Brock has been screwed out of the title as the Wyatt Family (Harper, Strowman and Rowan) leave. Brock afterwards goes off in pursuit of Rowan, Harper and Strowman with Heyman in tow.
- Final 2 we are left with Wyatt and Ambrose. Ambrose and Wyatt fight it out and it eventually ends up in Ambrose throwing Wyatt over last to win the Royal Rumble Match to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Ambrose is a Royal Rumble Match winner but also he wins the title that was once his best friend Roman's title.
