I absolutely love all the awesome stuff Zack's uncovered about this line. His collection is enviable!

That is so cool!
The way that stuff like this keeps coming up after all these years is amazing. I am still waiting for the ring that was used in all of the early Hasbro advertisements to show up.
You would have to say that Zack Ryder has done more for the Hasbro fans than anyone else. I legit would not have found out half probably 3/4 of the stuff had it not been for him.

Yeah I thought this was random and cool. I tried to see a clear picture of them on the 94 video on the Network but they really don't cut to the audience a ton.

So some interesting news about this ring.
I listen to "The Apter Chat" podcast with Bill Apters & Josh Shernoff, but I'd been a couple weeks behind. I finally got around to catching up last night, and the episode titled AEW has the news about this ring, towards the beginning of the show.
Bill Apter, being a magazine contributor/editor at the time of this Hall of Fame was given press credentials to the HOF that year. His press pass came with a actual physical box of goodies.
2 things in that box we're, this ring and that HOF sticker. Bill Apter alludes to the ring HAVING the original WWF sticker attached to the center of the ring when he got it that day, but included in his box of goodies was this HOF sticker. In an attempt not to lose said sticker, He personally attached it to this ring, OVER the top of the original WWF sticker.
He personally has no idea where the HOF sticker originated. So was it something Hasbro produced for WWF for this occasion? Did Howard Finkle, or Downtown Bruno, or even Bruce Prichard print off.. or commission the printing of these stickers? Again, no one exactly knows.
All that being said, this seems to make this HOF ring nothing more than a "custom."
None of that takes away from the uniqueness of the ring itself. Nor does it take away from it being featured on the tables at the HOF, making it a cool piece.
That said, after hearing more of the story (besides what Zack & Curt knew/discussed on Major WF Pod), it seems this for sure wasn't something Hasbro produced 10-20-30 whatever number of, for this special occasion.
Hmm.

Hmm. Few things. Before I told Bill where it was from, he had no memory of where it came ring. Pictures of Hall of Fame on WWE.com show these rings with stickers already on. Were they given out to everyone? Don’t think so. They appear to be centerpieces on table but nobody knows for sure. The HOF stickers aren’t put over the WWF logo. Totally different shape. And of course it’s “custom.” I said on the podcast that someone like Howard Finkel was probably unboxing these rings and putting the stickers on them.

Wasn't trying to question anything you'd said on Major WF Pod. Bill Apter does say he put the sticker on it, on his podcast, in an effort not to lose the sticker. He also states the WWF sticker was on it. If it's not, well then, at the time of recording his podcast, maybe he'd not remembered and it wasn't in front of him to see. I don't know. Was just relaying whatever info came from Bill Apter on his show. Either way, it's a cool piece of Hasbro WWF history.

Again, no one exactly knows. Hmm. We fixate and obsess over this stuff, other people just wind up with things and legit can't remember how they got them. He probably crafted that story to have something to say about it based on what may well COULD have happened. Closer to the truth is he probably figured his kids would have fun playing with the ring and swiped it off the table at the end of the ceremony. Which is a totally legit and reasonable thing to do, because centerpieces disappear at every formal function. It's just usually women swiping flower arrangements and stuff at weddings, but why not take a ring at a wrestling related event?

I think anyone with eyes can see it's not a Hall of Fame sticker over a normal sticker. the WWF logo underneath is dark blue. it looks like one sticker, just with a background due to the die cut. I'm sure the owner could verify, but that certainly does not look like a sticker on top of a sticker.

I believed he meant the blue marble WWF and HOF circle was one sticker.. over the top of the original Hasbro sticker.
I'll agree, it appears to be only one sticker in the center.
Either or, cool piece of history nonetheless.
