You would be lucky if you find 3 Basics on the pegs at most Walmarts or Targets

I imagine it's only going to get worse. Walmart especially, they're trying to move to online retail like Amazon.

If there where no more exclusives we could just order everything we wanted. Then we would not even need to go to stores and waste all this time, energy and money. When is mattels contract up again ? In theory wouldn't that save us money and frustration while in turn make mattel more money?

What was that series that had Seth Rollins and Miss Elizabeth? Never saw that series at Retail. I’ve still never see Survivor Series or Fan Central 2 Elites and I have multiple Walmart stores near me.
So yeah, Retail has kind of sucked lately. I am pretty much done figure hunting. It isn’t fun anymore. I just stick to buying off RSC or eBay.

That's what all of my bosses have been saying, it's in our training to try and direct sales to the website. They are trying to compete with Amazon now, because the giant period of growth they had 20 years is gone now.

I don't want to repeat myself too often with this, but, then imagine you live in a different country like me in Germany where my only options are internet shops. We barely have any retail shops with these figures in general here and if you can find one with a small section then you'll find WM 34 basics, WM34 elites, SummerSlam and Elite 61 figures at best. (The only shop in my city even only has WM34 basics, that's literally all) Plus, the cherry on the top is that you pay around 20 dollars for a new elite, even less sometimes while our RRP is 29,99€ here, which is around 34 dollars. I'm not kidding. Also, the third market situation is mostly very pricey too. You can't get any, literally, any elite on eBay under 10 bucks. Luckily I can import new stuff for a relatively ok price from UK and with blocked.com there is a good shop available. But with all the store exclusive figures that we get this year I'm totally ed as collector cause there is simply no way to get them. You moan about 40-50$ online prices for them? I f'n wish I would even have this option. From here, I have to pay three digits to get these figures. It's ridiculous and such an awful marketing.

I quit collecting elites because distribution sucks. I live in a highly populated city and hardly see squat. Collecting retros only now is still frustrating.

I am in the Allentown, PA area and hit 4 targets and 4 Walmarts pretty routinely and my stores never ever seem to get the new figures. The Walmarts look like war zones and the pegs are almost always empty. I paid a fortune for Harley Race and I expect to have to do the same for Sherri and Dunne. Major Wrestling figure podcast thinks this is great that these current releases are hard to get and sell for so much on eBay. I think it sucks. My pockets are not as deep as their's and I hate to think they have influence on Bill & team to continue down this path of store exclusives when the stores suck at getting them on the shelves.

Target and Walmart suck, Gamestop is getting better, they're the only b&m retailer that regularly stock my Dragon Stars and other figures, and of course they're the ones about to go out of business. (my store got one case of E63 on my day off and Backlund was already gone(only Backlund(I WOULDA BOUGHT THE WHOLE SET #%@?!)))

Retail is terrible in my area as well. Several Targets and Walmarts within 1/2 hour driving distance. If I see remnants of a particular series on the pegs. Not upset since I missed out because I didn't check it at the right day/time. If I go back week after week and see the same old crap hanging there, it's plain ridiculous. I know retail stores have certain order points for basic replenishment but seriously when it comes to store exclusives: make a peg or two and keep the stuff in stock. Send in straight cases of these figures if need be, again, plain business 101.

With the amount of the same type of threads with the same type of problems you’d think something would be done about this by now, but unfortunately Mattel isn’t listening and it doesn’t seem like Mattel cares.

Stores stop stocking stuff because people are too lazy to go to high streets or town centres anymore, thats why they struggle and there are so many empty shops, with amazon prime now people are too used to ordering and someone bringing their order to their door, sometimes on the same day, if online shopping stopped tomorrow I guarantee you'd see some grsat choice in stores

My Walmarts never got Flashback Seried 3, have yet to stock any of the new Elite sets with the chase figures or the new Retros.
Target stocked Hall of Champions 3 so I missed the one figure I've wanted all year and have not stocked any of the new NXT or elite sets.
Also my 5 belows just got zombie figures when most were getting retros.
Being a collector in Northwest Ohio had been rough the past several months.

I feel like if that old “what does your local store” thread was dug up now it would make us miss them days haha. Good to see Mattel fixed that issue.

A big issue I see is that when stores do restock they are just getting more of what they already have or what took several weeks to sell. Went to walmart today that had nearly 3 full pegs of elite 63. That store got 4 new cases over the weekend of elites. I figure it jas to be Sherri wave but I get there and find more elite 63 on the bottom and top shelves now and even more on pegs. Maybe if the stores were able to order different series rather than loading up on one and then getting nothing new for months because those dont sell? What'd the sense in getting 3 more series 63 cases when u were already sitting on two of them? This happens in both target and walmart frequently.

I hear you on that. These guys also travel for a living and get to look in every store across the country that most of us also don't have the luxury of. And they have freaking figures of themselves on the pegs made by the company and can pal around with the Mattel Design Team on a regular basis lol. Not to mention tons of fans that are always willing to send them anything in hopes of getting some attention.

Wwe and Mattel share similarities in that they don’t listen to their fans much
