I am in the Allentown, PA area and hit 4 targets and 4 Walmarts pretty routinely and my stores never ever seem to get the new figures. The Walmarts look like war zones and the pegs are almost always empty. I paid a fortune for Harley Race and I expect to have to do the same for Sherri and Dunne. Major Wrestling figure podcast thinks this is great that these current releases are hard to get and sell for so much on eBay. I think it sucks. My pockets are not as deep as their's and I hate to think they have influence on Bill & team to continue down this path of store exclusives when the stores suck at getting them on the shelves. I hear you on that. These guys also travel for a living and get to look in every store across the country that most of us also don't have the luxury of. And they have freaking figures of themselves on the pegs made by the company and can pal around with the Mattel Design Team on a regular basis lol. Not to mention tons of fans that are always willing to send them anything in hopes of getting some attention. This 100%. I don’t begrudge them getting anything, but not should they begrudge me buying hoc Kane if I missed elite 12

I don’t think just because they are WWE superstars and are friendly with MDT they’ll get any figures from Mattel. I know that back in 2003/2004 when The Four Horsemen Design Studios we’re sculpting their 6” Batman line they said Mattel wouldn’t send them any final product of the figures they worked on and had to buy them in stores like everyone else.

I had to drive from Michigan to Ohio just for NXT series 4. Yes it’s early and I’m sure it will show up, but with how bad stock is here when it relates to NXT it’ll be awhile. I lost out on Pete Dunne three times now, and one of the scalpers is selling Dunne for $130.00 on eBay.

I could be wrong but I want to say in between talking about bald heads and Mark Bushey that they've mentioned Mattel sending them stuff. I'm sure if the YouTube collector is getting stuff from Mattel to review and show off, the two WWE superstars are getting free stuff. Not everything but Mattel throws them a bone.

Retail stock is hot & cold in my area. Wait 2 weeks after what is reported on here and that series is out. Or wait longer then it hits or it completely misses. Store exclusives are a hot mess. Either only 1 or 3 Targets in the whole city got the exclusives or none did. Never saw Flashback series 3 or back in late 2017 early 2018 never saw or hardly saw the HOF series w/ Diesel.

I don't want to repeat myself too often with this, but, then imagine you live in a different country like me in Germany where my only options are internet shops. We barely have any retail shops with these figures in general here and if you can find one with a small section then you'll find WM 34 basics, WM34 elites, SummerSlam and Elite 61 figures at best. (The only shop in my city even only has WM34 basics, that's literally all) Plus, the cherry on the top is that you pay around 20 dollars for a new elite, even less sometimes while our RRP is 29,99€ here, which is around 34 dollars. I'm not kidding. Also, the third market situation is mostly very pricey too. You can't get any, literally, any elite on eBay under 10 bucks. Luckily I can import new stuff for a relatively ok price from UK and with blocked.com there is a good shop available. But with all the store exclusive figures that we get this year I'm totally ed as collector cause there is simply no way to get them. You moan about 40-50$ online prices for them? I f'n wish I would even have this option. From here, I have to pay three digits to get these figures. It's ridiculous and such an awful marketing. Good perspective here.

To paraphrase someone in another topic: "If you can't afford $30 per figure then you shouldn't be collecting" Come at be bros lol But seriously, elitist/pragmatic attitudes aside, at what point do wrestling figure collectors stop collecting?
I think $20 is already a laughable price for the Elites/superheroes/etc., I can't imagine what keeps overseas fans in the hobby.

I don’t think it’s too bad. I found Elite 65 including Sherri. I also found NXT 4, and all of 64, but I just missed Dunne, last week. Seriously I went to the two Walmart’s in my area today and all they had for elites was that Charlotte from almost two years ago. One store had four while the other had two. Just awful

Its awful right now, the worst I've ever seen it. Maybe I've just been lucky, but until late last year the only figures I had never seen at retail were the first Alicia Fox and the DM Bret Hart. Now I there are several waves that have come and gone without me ever seeing or series where I see maybe one or two figures (usually one of the members of a tag team). I'm still pissed about Harley Race, and I don't expect to ever see Sherri or Backlund. After a long day of hunting yesterday the most exciting thing I saw was NXT 2 Dash Wilder (which I'd have bought if Dawson was there too. Beyond that its always a ton of Charlotte, Ellsworth, Cass, Alexander Rusev, NXT Reigns and fragmented current figures (one Uso, the latest Cena, Best of, etc.) Its too much for me. I've all but given up, and likely will sell off the collection in the not too distant future.

Since you like biting off my posts so much why dont you post an alternative solution rather than just mocking me? U call me elitist I say realist. Y does anyone feel entitled to these figures? Y does everyone think just because they want something it should be immediately available for the lowest possible cost? I'm willing to try to have a grown up conversation but a large majority here seem to just want to insult people so any time u want to grow up feel free to reply.

Stores stop stocking stuff because people are too lazy to go to high streets or town centres anymore, thats why they struggle and there are so many empty shops, with amazon prime now people are too used to ordering and someone bringing their order to their door, sometimes on the same day, if online shopping stopped tomorrow I guarantee you'd see some grsat choice in stores But if they don't stock the stores, or have them available online, what's the point? I think in this day and age, Mattel should just sell everything direct online, no more exclusives. If stores want to carry stuff, fine, but it doesn't make sense for Mattel not to make stuff easy to buy without paying scalper prices. It's money out of their pockets.

Too bad Mattel can't do a small store in malls like KB Toys and Toysrus (at XMAS time). They could have there product out when it should be out and not have to worry about other stores not stocking there products or skipping series all together. I also like the idea of an online Mattel store to help those who can't get the figures they want because the stores around them don't purchase enough stock, or don't purchase that particular series, etc.

I still remember back in early 2000's I went to new york on a family vacation, went to the toys r us in times square, and to this day its still burned in my mind how cool their WWE section was, it was literally a small room with special lighting, pegs were full and they probably had just about every up to date series there. Wish there was some kind of store like this around. I also miss KB toys, wasn't KB toys talking about coming back last year?

However, I have not heard anything more from that. It may have been wishful thinking by the CEO and not a serious thought.

Its not money out of Mattels pocket, because it wasnt in there in the first place, it matters not one ounce if a so called scalper buys it or you or I buy it, Mattel are paid by the store who order them. I absolutely agree, that we should be abpe to buy any product Mattel make from their online store, except any pre-arranged exclusives, which I would keep doing as it makes a collection a little more special if you have something someone else doesnt

I actually thought it was one of the first things Mattel did away with when TRU closed and they had to cut personal/jobs. I swear ever since then any time I go on there and look for anything it’s always “out of stock” with a “Find in store” link.
