So with this new line debuting what is everyone's thoughts on it?
Honestly right now I am on the fence about it. I'll probably get the UW but is this supposed to be a prominent series like entrance greats/defining moments? Or is it like a special to the likes of the figuarts, where we only get a select few?
These are in scale with elites right? I can see them replacing elites but I don't think the price would appeal to retail consumers to actually happen.

They are the new EG/DM type line. They aren’t replacing the Elites. And I hope they don’t switch the elite torso joints for what they have the Ultimate Ultimate Warrior because that thing is an ugly eyesore at least with the one the standard elites have it’s hidden within the cuts of the abs.

I like them, the Ronda Rousey particularly is an amazing scan. The duster with Warrior is awesome, which shows what can be done The torso articulation is far better looking than the ridiculous cut out in the middle elites have. One current one legend is perfect, price point is very reasonable, I was expecting £40 and its around £30 so really pleased all in all They wont replace elites, they wont fit in with elites despite being the same size, the finsih of the paint is different so they would srand out from elites as much as the storm Hogans do, in fact Storm Hogans and the Ultimate Edition line would fit better I'd think

I think they're just going to be limited editions

I'm sure this will eventually happen but it will be so hard to accept a line replacing elites haha, it's takin me years to upgrade my jakks collection. Not sure if i'd want to do it again.

Women (in this case Ronda) look great and like a huge improvement to what we've got so far. Men look exactly like normal elites but with worse split in half bodies. So I will definitely get Ronda, even if I don't like the thick plastic arms as jacket, it's a cheap solution in my opinion and the opposite from ultimate, but the rest is great here. The many faces are nice and the whole figure looks fantastic. The ab crunch is really good here. Men could work, even with the crunch, but only if they do it the "Ronda way" in my opinion. Making your mouth watery with mediocre non wrestling attire figures and then a fantastic first ring attire ultimate. But having the 237th Warrior that looks exactly like every other elite, with then inaccurate hair and with hilariously cheap entrance attire and on top the horrific looking ab crunch, no way. That's just awful:

For warrior, can a torso swap be done? Like with a regular elite ab crunch? I'm just wondering if the crotch piece has the same peg to hold the torso in place.

I feel like they might not sell with the price tag associated with rhem, especially if ringsides prices are any indication.

I collect warrior figures and want a Ronda rousey in ring attire, so I will be buying both, but only at MSRP or less

Yeah, I'm 99% behind this line, the 1% hesitation is the ugly ab crunch. I imagine it will look even worse on Bret Hart

I feel like they might not sell with the price tag associated with rhem, especially if ringsides prices are any indication. I don't think the price will be an issue. They are $37 on Ringside....they'll probably be $27-$31 at retail, which is the same as a DM/EG, and with the extra heads, extra hands, extra arms, and other accessories, I think they will actually be worth it. I pay $27-$31 for NECA figures at Target, and they are worth it. The price point is NOT stopping people from buying NECA, and people spend more ($60-$70+) on Medicom/Figuarts. With the extra heads, hands, arms, and updated articulation, I would say that the two Ultimate Edition figures ARE on par with NECA. Warrior's jacket alone is a masterpiece.

Hopefully they will continue with 1 current star and 1 legend, with the price and articulation, these seem to be more geared for collectors than kids. Hopefully we get a great Macho King out of this line. Surfer Sting with a more posable jacket, Hollywood Hogan, etc. With Warrior, the chest articulation is huge but if you leave the jacket on it's not that noticeable. I like that they added some highlights to the hair to make it less brown and more dirty blonde like he was at the time. Anyone else think this will only be for the top stars and not niche characters?

I can’t really say until I have seen one in person. But I don’t want any of these characters they’ve started with so it’ll be a while before my verdict.

I love how collectors get sticker shocked on a $30 figure, yet are begging Mattel to release that scale entrance stage. That is easiky a $130-$199 stage.

As PJ said, it's just the new premium line. It'll be home to high demand attires (Hollywood Hogan, 00 hHh) where they can squeeze out a few extra dollars and will hopefully allow Bill to make some all-out deco or entrance gear that wouldn't otherwise be possible in an Elite price point. I'm not crazy about the new torso, but I'll reserve judgment until we see more than the initial two figures.

Love the first two. Both definite buys for me.

Really excited for it. SUPER pumped to see the eventual Shinsuke! Going to pick up Rousey for sure. I don’t care all that much for figures of Legends.
I think the ab crunch “issue” will be fine with smaller build guys like Bret and Shinsuke. Personally, I don’t find it all that unsightly on the Warrior, especially when the coat is put on. If UE is all about articulation and accessories, I’m down for butterfly joints too tbh. They’re sorely missing for certain poses.

I won’t be buying them for the fact that I don’t want to start another line when I’m pretty much done with what they have as it is. Also the fact they are releasing such a small amount of names in the line they’d have to really appeal to me. Maybe if they do a HBK I would Be in.

They’re really cool but that ab crutch is a crime to society
