Really excited for it. SUPER pumped to see the eventual Shinsuke! Going to pick up Rousey for sure. I don’t care all that much for figures of Legends. I think the ab crunch “issue” will be fine with smaller build guys like Bret and Shinsuke. Personally, I don’t find it all that unsightly on the Warrior, especially when the coat is put on. If UE is all about articulation and accessories, I’m down for butterfly joints too tbh. They’re sorely missing for certain poses. I’ll let PJ make the response to the suggestion of butterfly joints because he’s very vocal against them

Do plan on getting BIG RONDA eventually. I am excited for the possibilities that can be splurged on for accessories. Bonus heads are pretty neat. But the new torso joint for the male figures I'm not a fan of. If there is a debut guy or look in this line, I won't look forward to using it with my other figs.

Not really going to change my opinion on the matter, nor will mine change his. Lol. Elite’s across the body arm range sucks. Needs to be addressed imo. Whether that’s butterfly joints, or deeper chest indents, I don’t care. I kinda view these as a stand a lone line, I will keep them in there own display Yeah. I totally view these as their own line tbh.

I like them, but I'm not sure I'm willing to pay nearly $40 for them.

I already preordered Rousey. I will not buy Warrior for two reasons:
1) I have enough Warriors already and Mattel has made all the looks I want represented in my collection. I have no need to represent anything he did in WCW (that's just my opinion).
2) Numerous people have said "just leave the coat/duster on" if you don't like the ab joint. If you're just going to leave the coat on then why do we need to pay for all the extra articulation??? The figure should look great with entrance gear on or off. I personally think the mushroom top is too pronounced. It doesn't grade up from a 2-3-4, but jumps from a 2 to a 6. (I hope that makes sense.) It looks as if he broke his bottom ribs and folded them inward to push out the top half of his torso. No thanks.

The torso is awful and that makes me hesitant towards buying UW. At least with Bret, it can be covered up

I love how collectors get sticker shocked on a $30 figure, yet are begging Mattel to release that scale entrance stage. That is easiky a $130-$199 stage. You mean the cardboard entrances? Those are only $10. Even if they made a plastic one I wouldn't buy it, $130-$199 for some sheets of plastic as bland as a Barbie Beach House gets a big NO TY from me.

I get the impression people around here don't stray far beyond wrestling figures. Like any joint, you can find examples of them that look awesome and some that look like butt. It all depends on what aesthetic the lead designer wants for the line, and what is physically possible/structurally sound according to the engineers.
For this crowd, I think adding "dents" near the meeting point of the pecs/shoulders to let the arms cross more would be enough. I did it to a Batista figure and it still looks good while adding a noticeable amount of range.

If Bret Hart is coming hopefully it'll actually look like him without the glasses on.

3rd series needs to be Hollywood Hogan and Jushin Liger Liger?! That ain't happening... The Hail Mart scenario would probably be Liger joining the Japanese NXT Performance Center as a trainer when his in ring days wrap up and signing a merchandising deal. He seems to have a relationship with Regal, so it's not totally out of the question. A Liger figure would be one of my dream figures. But yeah, that's not in the cards any time soon, or likely ever, sadly.

Even lines like Marvel legends have adapted new tech from import lines and made their articulation better than it was. The fact that you can’t get the arm across the body even slightly in 2019 is laughable imo. Like you said, those cuts or divets would even help. I understand people don’t want a “cut up” figure like some imports, but imports have evolved so far past even the SHF WWE line. Hell, marvel legends have evolved past that in some cases. Mattel really needs to take a cue and make some articulation changes. As someone who dabbles in toy phtpography, handling and photographing the wrestling figures is so much more frustrating than marvel legends.
