What do you consider to be the hardest to get WWF figure from 1984-1994? Prototypes don't count, only figures that were available at retail.

I dont think any are "hard" to find, just pricey. Green card Hasbros, black carded LJNs I would imagine would be at the top of the list. I could be wrong though

The first one that comes to mind is the Wendi Richter Winston eraser figure (JYD and Piper getting honorable mention as 2A and 2B on the list).

Black card LJN: Macho Man, Adonis or Jake Roberts are definitely among the rarest

The first one that comes to mind is the Wendi Richter Winston eraser figure (JYD and Piper getting honorable mention as 2A and 2B on the list). Those are the only figures I really follow, and Piper has been much harder to find the past few years. I think the only Piper to even hit the market has been the MOC one that I sold. I have a loose Piper and I've seen even fewer of those than MOC in the past 10 years. Richter on the other hand has hit the auction sites numerous times in both loose and MOC form. JYD is a distant 3rd by far.

i never saw any of the Hasbro Green Card series in stores....i knew they existed at the time just never saw them.
the red card series i remember finding once in a mom and pop type toy store but never saw them in the big chains like Toys R Us or KB Toys. i always found that strange.
the yellow card series finally popped up in a KB Toys but they never had Nailz.
meanwhile series 9 and 10 i found without issue at Toys R Us and were both released in between the above series i mentioned.
i'm not sure how the hasbros were distributed and what made some harder to find than others. but it was frustrating as a kid because i could never complete the collection due to the lack of availability

For a while it was the Hasbro Green card series and a couple of other Hasbro figures on english cards (like S3 Warrior, Brutus, Perfect, Koko, Macho, and series 8 Bret and Taker). Dusty Rhodes wasn't rare or difficult to find he has just always been expensive. But, since some guy in Japan started unloading a fair amount of these, they aren't so rare/hard to find anymore. Now, for the Hasbro figure, I would probably say the Mail-a-way undertaker seems to be the rarest/hardest to find (in the bag or loose). I would also agree with the other posters that the LJN Black Card series is probably going to be the hardest to find. Also, I think they have a two pack of the British Bulldogs that can be difficult to procure.

Can't leave out Star Toys 14" Big Boss Man... Apparently, Perfect, Von Erich, and the Rockers exist, as well or at least that is what VintageFigs1 said on his podcast...

LJN was before my time but speaking from my personal experiences in the Hasbro era, it was mostly the color cards.
I never saw the yellow card set in person. I received the HBK from Santa one year and my mind was blown. I wanted all the others and could never find them.
The red cards were impossible for me to find but one time on family vacation I found all the red card figures with the exception of Yokozuna, who I never found,
I remember seeing the green cards in a magazine but like others, never saw them in person, which is probably one of the more popular answers.

I just know they're all pretty hard to get. Other than LJN card variants mentioned here the only other mainstream WWF release from the era I can think of that would come close in rarity would probably be the Jake Roberts thumb wrestler. Has that ever even been found MOC? I can't remember seeing one ever show up.

The bottom of the box mentions: Macho Man The Bushwhackers Texas Tornado The Rockers Mr. Perfect Jimmy the Superfly Snuka Rowdy Roddy Piper (this one I'm not sure of) Bret Hitman Hart Legion of Doom Earthquake The back of the box mentions the figures we've seen: Hulk Hogan Jake the Snake Hacksaw Jim Duggan Ultimate Warrior Big Boss Man Attachment DeletedTornado, Snuka or Piper Hart we've probably seen also: there's this unidentified figure that keeps popping up loose with brown trunks and boots, if he'd show up boxed we could finally identify him.

I remember getting Green Card Yoko as a birthday gift from my mom in 1995. Still have it no less, minimal play. Thank all that is good that I was already phasing out of my crude customizing with a Sharpie phase and having aggressive matches with friends during indoor recess. I'm not a pro grader, but I'd say it's an 8/10 condition. The usual foot paint loss you see with his figures, maybe a tad off the white bow. I wish my mom remembered where she found it back then.

Mailaway hasbro taker was available via mail order. Not sure if that qualified as retail back then. Definetely harder to find than any other.

Does anyone else remember seeing pegs loaded w/Scott Steiner around KBs for 2 years after they were released? Why would they have made so many of him? Because who's buying one Steiner and not the other? Series One tag teams were horrible too. Rockers and Bushwackers clogging stores for years, but almost no Demolition to find ever. And that backlog is pretty much the reason LOD and Nastys really never showed up much and maybe the reason they discontinued 2 packs altogether after that.

Stores also had Samu and Bushwhacker Butch up until early 1996 along with Scott Steiner. Definitely very strange. They also had the purple Razor and black pants Michaels until then. TRU was the store I saw them all at.
