I was able to find it in San Francisco CA using this number. Thanks. I assume there isn’t a item number for Flair yet? Pretty sure that isn't true. I found him in San Francisco CA yesterday.

Isn't gamestop going out of business? That would make sense that they won't be getting exclusives anymore. They were bought out and are going to be restructured. Not out of business They were not bought out, they halted the buyout talks due to issues with financing. They are now going to undergo a restructuring process but its still unclear what will happen going forward?! GameStop Halts Pursuit of Buyer, Stock Plummets over 25 PercentSomething weird is going on with this RetroFest line- Mattel announced 4 new figures (Hacksaw, Flair, Perfect & Sheik) for this line in the span of like 6 months- is this line doing that well?! I wonder if perhaps this line will no longer be exclusive to Gamestop going forward due to their ongoing financial problems?! I hope TRU picks these up here in Canada, although they knowing them they would probably charge $40 which would result in them not selling.

Not out of business The company actually failed to obtain reasonable long-term financial terms for a prospective buyer due to our 480-something odd million dollars of debt, so as it stands GameStop did not sell and is no longer planning to do so. As far as we know, the company is currently looking into plans to restructure our products and partnerships to make a hail-mary attempt to adapt to a changing industry. Likely you'll see GameStop increasing the amount/variety of toys and adult-oriented collectibles and decreasing our dependence on sale of physical games, pre-owned or otherwise, with the exception of big collector's editions to meet the demand of that relevant niche market. The general consensus, however, is that the company is dying and has a couple of struggling years left.

it was reportedly found online at an online store (mega*******) at one point... which has the flair available on there now.

They really do need to change things. Once it was becoming more common for games to be downloaded, they should of started to close stores. I live within a 5 mile radius of about 10 of them. My local GameStop was showing that they have them on the way as of yesterday.
All of the past Retrofest figures are on clearance for $12 near me.

I hope not, Gamestop (oddly) has been the easiest place to find mattel figures of legends. Plus, I really like this figure and hope to find it (and the three gamestop exclusive figure to follow). I was even thinking of buying two, one to keep in the box (to display as King Duggan) and one out of the box (to display 1993 Duggan).

There hasn't really been one of these that I really wanted yet up until the Ric Flair one, so with my luck they'll cancel this line after Duggan, lol.
Oof - and that face on Duggan is rough.

So I called another store. They also told me it’s “delisted.” So I asked does that mean it’s cancelled or what? Guy told me no it’s not canceled but it means we have to order it from the warehouse which he tried to do. Said system says they don’t have them in the warehouse but it was expected to be there the 28th. He told me with delisted items it’s usually only one shipment so this could potentially be a very limited release. Not sure what he means by one shipment as one shipment to the warehouse or all stores.

Really hope this isn't cancelled or difficult to obtain. Loved the first three Retrofests. Just picked up another set the other day to keep MOC for 5 bucks a piece.

Don't really blame Gamestop if they don't continue this line. All I've seen is these guys in the clearance section there, up to Honkytonk.

Again, I go back to Mattel's roster/attire choices, all of which have a VERY limited/niche audience, even amongst wrestling fans. I'm a pretty die-hard fan, but I'm not even sure what that Savage attire is from, nor do I like it. Honky Tonk Man is a bit of an oldie, who has already received a couple figures including an Elite. And then there's Rocker Shawn Michaels - definitely not his most popular attire, and no matching Jannetty turned off quite a few folks. Even the upcoming Perfect, which I'm personally a fan of, has the community split especially on the attire choice. This new Duggan scan is a gimmick and poorly executed, which very much limits the appeal of this series. Here's what would have sold: - Taker 92 with hair over his face (similar to Brood Matt Hardy)
- Taker 96 with a new/better scan using TrueFX
- HBK 97 with a new/better scan using TrueFX
- Austin 97 with a new/better scan using TrueFX
- Bret Hart 97 with a new/better scan using TrueFX
- Rock 98 with a new/better scan using TrueFX
Bottom line: stick with your champs, roll out the new technology, and revisit characters/appearances as done with the New Age Outlaws in the HOC series! Alternatively reproducing the Wrestlefest roster would have been amaaaazing but unfortunately most of those wrestlers/attires were either recently released (Bossman, Savage, Warrior, Jake, Slaughter) or are no longer available (Hogan, LOD, Demo).

To be fair GameStop continually puts all types of figures on clearance all the time, the regular elite series includes. Each one of these have been sought after (Michaels not so much) when it first comes out.

He wore that attire a few times during the summer of 1993, I believe he wore it in a match against Doink on Raw, August 2, 1993. I think he wore the USA attire because RAW was on USA and it was a way to promote the network plus they were starting the all-American vs foreigner angle at this time which was the big story line of the fall (summer slam and survivor series 1993). I agree with you I'm not a big fan of the attire either, I would have preferred a Macho King attire instead from 1990 or 1991 (WM6, SSL 90, SNME 90 vs Dusty Rhodes, SNME 90 when he attacked Warrior, the attire he wore on Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous, to name a few).

Interesting. Thanks for the 411! I agree a Macho King would have been a better choice - more iconic and most missed out on him since the previous release is so old at this point
