Peter Tork, bass player & keyboardist for the 60s group The Monkees, passed away today at age 77. He had been diagnosed with adenoid cystic carcinoma, a rare, slow-growing form of head and neck cancer.
So sad. I saw The Monkees live once & met Peter in the mid 90s at a meet & greet. Such a nice, genuine man.
Rest peacefully, Peter. I hope you & Davy can jam somewhere now.

Personally never cared for their music, but it's always sad when a big name like that passes.

Sad day. 60s music is my favorite era of music and Monkees were a big part of that. RIP Mr. Tork and Mr. Jones.
