Pats cherry picked? They gave up a 2nd for a WR who was nothing more than a slot receiver on a bad team, you put someone like Welker with Tom Brady and look what happens. Patriots gave u 2 picks for Welker, so I dont think they cherry picked. Right now in the NFL...Jesse Chatman > Shaun Alexander...scary I know, but Jones/Chatman/Washington is a pretty good RB group, arguably the best in the division. Mind you the rest of the Jets suck, but tahts besides the point. Shaun Alexander will go to Cincinnati or some team and be a 3rd down back...unless he has a contract year behind a GOOD line, which the Jets arent...you can stick a fork in Shaun Alexander. Warrick Dunn signed with the Buccaneers. He asked where'd Mike Alstott go By cherry picked.....I mean they knew what they liked and picked those guys up. The Jets signed a guy who hasnt even shown a glimpse of potential. They are certainly not the best RB combo in their division. I'm giving that to the Pats. Maroney/Faulk/Morris. Jets might have the best running attack. But I would rather have 2 RBs and one back that can really catch out of the backfield. I dont think Chatman is gonna do much of anything for the Jets. And I guess that means if McFadden does fall to the Jets.......they'll pass on him. I think the Jets have a really solid offensive line. Nick Mangold, Ferguson, Clement and now add Faneca in. This is gonna be a solid line for a few years. I hope they can open some more holes for Jones this year. But its tough when you have no passing ability. I think Shaun Alexander has a chance to fit right into a two back system. Something along the lines of what Minnesota or the Giants did. He has gas left in that tank and I would much rather have him over Chatman. I felt the same way about Warrick Dunn. Can anyone explain why Jake Plummer is still on TB Roster?

Lorenzo Booker? Really? Seriously? I mean he was a talent coming out of FSU, but are you really saying he's gonna provide more than Washington or Chatman? Ricky Williams? REALLY? SERIOUSLY? Ronnie Brown coming offa a huge knee injury? Come on. A healthy Ronnie Brown, a college Lorenzo Booker and a not high/fat/indifferent Ricky Williams....sure, I agree then. Hurricane Ricky was all muscle!

Joey Harrington is one of those quarterbacks that will never be good. He can keep playing and practicing and practicing....but he just won't get any better.

Yea you could put Boller into that category. I don't think David Carr is going to ever do anything either.

i think most people saw this coming with Shaun Alexander... some people are surprised because, after all, he just won the rushing title and set the NFL record for rushing TD's 3 years ago... but there is no position in American sports with a shorter lifespan than that of the NFL running back. and Alexander was soft to begin with, so its no surprise to me that he's running on empty after racking up nearly 2,000 carries over a 5 year span
Seattle's probably wishing they let him walk after his 2005 contract year and allocated that money towards Steve Hutchinson instead. THEY GOT NATE BURLESON THOUGH !!!

Jones has speed and evasiveness, but he's had trouble turning it into production as well as staying healthy.

I swear, the lions are trying to get worse and worse. I see him going to the Browns or even the Dolphins.

Jones has speed and evasiveness, but he's had trouble turning it into production as well as staying healthy. When he was healthy, he's been pretty good. In '06, he had over 1,200 total yards and 8 touchdowns through 12 games (before getting hurt). Not amazing stats, but still pretty solid.
