Credit NFL.com:
Add Arizona's Anquan Boldin to the list of disgruntled wide receivers that have requested a trade.
2007 Statistics Recs: 71 Yds: 853 Avg: 12.0 TDs: 9
Boldin recently met with Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt and informed him that he would like to be traded. The Cardinals told Boldin they were unwilling to trade him, but would consider exploring the possibility of a new contract with him.
Boldin is scheduled to make $2.5 million this season, $2.75 million next season and $3 million in 2010 -– considerably less than the four-year, $40 million extension that wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald signed with Arizona last month.
For now, Arizona has taken the same stance as Cincinnati has with its disgruntled Pro Bowl wide receiver Chad Johnson, who has the same agent, Drew Rosenhaus, as Boldin. The Cardinals have made it clear they are unwilling to trade Boldin.
General manager Rod Graves said Tuesday night that he views Boldin as one of the franchise's building blocks, a core player, and he is not interested in trading him.
But it is up to another team such as Washington that already has made an offer for Johnson to see if it could persuade Arizona to surrender Boldin.
It all adds to the intrigue of draft week. And it all creates a situation in Arizona that is similar to the one in Cincinnati.

Boldin is definitely underpaid.

I thought Shaun Alexander got released weeks ago. Huh. I thought I heard that too. Guess not. It's been pretty much a for drawn conclusion that Seattle was dropping him from the team. Being from the area, there hasn't been a football story on the news or radio that didn't mention that he was all but gone.

Cheifs are really looking to make a move towards much younger players. They are officially in complete rebuilding stage.

It was a smart move by the Chiefs. Allen didn't want to play there and was not going to sign a long-term deal. Unless they were planning on franchising him every year until he retires (LoL), they weren't going to be keeping him past this year. Realistically, even with Jared Allen, the Chiefs aren't a contender right now. What they did was made an attempt to build for the future. Whether or not it works out remains to be seen.

Eventhough he led the league in sacks last season, despite being suspended the first 2 games, I think the Chiefs got great value from this. As you said, he doesnt want to play in KC. Vikings can really use his talent. And in turn the Chiefs are gonna have 2 first round picks and 3 3rd rounders. Thats huge. Chiefs might take Ryan with their first pick and then look for another receiver. Or possibly the move of Allen, makes them look at Gholston or someone to bolster the defense and then go offense later in the draft if they are satisfied with working with Croyle.

Daunte Culpepper visiting Packers todayThe Green Bay Packers are exploring the possibility of signing veteran quarterback Daunte Culpepper. Sources said the 31-year-old Culpepper arrived in Green Bay on Tuesday evening and is visiting the Packers today. Culpepper, an unrestricted free agent, played last season for the Oakland Raiders. In seven games (including six starts), he completed 58.1 percent of his passes for 1,331 yards with five touchdowns and five interceptions. The three-time Pro Bowler played his first seven seasons for the Minnesota Vikings, who selected him with the 11th overall pick in the 1999 draft. Following his tenure with the Vikings, he played the 2006 season with the Miami Dolphins. The Packers view the 6-foot-4, 264-pound Culpepper as a possible backup for Aaron Rodgers, who will take over the starting quarterback job this season for the retired Brett Favre.

Mel Kiper said that if Matt Ryan slips beyond pick 8, he will retire and never be heard from again.

Ryan would be a possibility if he's still there (which I doubt he will be), but I don't think the Chiefs will be taking a receiver very early in the draft. They need to focus on O-line and get a defensive ends first, then a QB. Then probably a CB.. Trust me.. I'm a HUGE Chiefs fan and as much as it sucks to see this many glaring weaknesses.. they're all there, and their top priority.

Its kind a funny.... On Espnews, just about 2 weeks ago, Boldin was talking about he would never do what Chad is doing. Looks like he got no other choice.

I see the Chiefs taking Long or Gholston at 5 and taking an OT at 17, more than likely Otah unless Clady or Albret drop or they trade up to get one of them. A CB or WR in the second round would be great unless another first round rated OT drops to them as they do need help at both tackle positions and getting two starters on the line would really help out LJ and Croyle. This could be the trade that gets the Chiefs into a Super Bowl in the future or turns them into the Bengals of the 90's depending on how the draft and the development of these players goes in the next few years.

I think Long is a Ram for sure. I am really hoping the Chiefs take Gholston. If they dont take Ryan, which I dont think they are ready to give up on Croyle yet, then Gholston makes sense. Raiders should take McFadden. Al Davis loves him. Leaving.......Matt Ryan to the Jets. Please God!

Seeing more clips of Gholston over the last couple of days I think it would be a great pick for the Chiefs to take him as he could be used similar to the way Derrick Thomas was used when he played. This draft can go so many different ways just depending on what the Rams do you get guys like C.Long who could go 2 or drop to 5 and Ryan who could go 3 or drop to 6 or maybe down to 8.

Gholston would be awesome. I just hope we (the chiefs), pick up a QB in the 1st/2nd as it's pretty obvious to most people in these parts that Croyle isn't the answer. I mean, what has he ever done to prove he could possibly take an NFL team all the way? He was good in college, but not great, and he did NOTHING last season. I'd understand if he had shown SOME flash of brilliance, but he really didn't.
