The fact that he was drunk and tried to tongue kiss Andrea Kramer on live TV makes him one of the greatest, sorry TRW Suzy Kolber...

I think it's big news. With McGahee out, the addition of Lorenzo Neal could actually help Ray Rice be a legitimate fantasy running back if he ends up being the starter at the beginning of the regular season.

Hopefully he can be a good steal in my draft this Friday if I'm able to select him

Bess could prove to be their #1 or perhaps 2 behind Ginn. I hope you're serious. I've heard that he has been impressive in camp. He has great hands, route running, and is shifty apparently. Some people compare him to Wes Welker, which is really good by me, but he won't be that good. Yet... tom brady is great and will go down as one of the 5 best qbs ever but can evryone jump off the guys nuts seriously i pretty much hate him but i have to respect what he has done Same here. I don't "hate" Tom Brady, I just hate that he's on the Patriots and I can't stand them because they are just so damn dominating. Which is a stupid reason to hate them, but oh well. But even me, being a Dolphins and Colts fan, can admit Brady might be the best QB right now. The only competition he has is Manning. But either way, they're both HOF bound and will be among the (if not) greatest ever.

People hate Tom Brady for the same reason they hate guys like Tiger Woods and Kobe Bryant; it's because they win. I'm not a fan of the Patriots in the least bit, but anyone who discredits Tom Brady as a QB is a fool.
I'm not sure about Ray Rice being put in as a #1 right away, but I think he can be a very effective back if he splits carries. To be honest, he reminds me a lot of a stockier Warrick Dunn. Could be a nice 1-2 punch in Baltimore.

I loathe Kobe. Absolutely have nothing but utter hate for the man. He is a jerk on the court and a rapist off of it. As far as Rice being liek Dunn.....I like the comparison. Rice has the physical tools and a decent O line to become a nice addition to the Ravens. However, a 1-2 punch with McGahee will never work. McGahee is in Baltimore b/c he didnt want to share carries with Travis Henry or anyone else. He had been injury prone and didnt have the O line to work behind was his excuse. Yet last year, McGahee was awful. He had the line and yet still stunk it up. He claims he didnt get enough carries. And I call that BS.

Didnt the Ravens just give Mcghee a nice new contract, plus hes young? Why in the hell would anyone think Ray Rice would overtake him IF he is healthy, seriously, waste the fantasy pick on him, but hes nothing more than a handcuff to probably one of the 5 best runners in football. Ray Rice is this years flash in the pan preseason sleeper, and 99% of them turn out to suck.
Eventually, Rice could be a dominant back, but it is not happening in 2008

Eventually, Rice could be a dominant back, but it is not happening in 2008 I'm not suggesting that Rice would be a starter over a HEALTHY McGahee by any means... But if McGahee has an injury history and he's currently nursing a knee injury that - rumor has it - is more serious than the team is letting on. Not serious to the point of him being out the entire season, but a few games wouldn't surprise me. If McGahee is out, that would likely mean Ray Rice steps in for at least a couple games... And any running back running behing Lorenzo Neal is going to be paid attention to by me.

Well my point wasnt directed at you Kliquid, because unlike others here you have common sense when it comes to the NFL and Fantasy football.

I don't see how 1,200+ yards and 7 TDs in 15 games qualifies as "awful" tbh.
Even if he was #1, it's not often that a rookie RB will come in and have immediate success. Adrian Peterson is a freak, so he doesn't count.

People tend to forget that describing Baltimore's offensive line as "below-average" might be stating it nicely.

The Pats signed John Lynch to a 1-year 1.5 Million dollar contract to help the secondary.

Are they planning on playing him every single down?
Blah. I'm a huge Lynch fan, but I really dislike the Pats. I was hoping he would retire so I could still wear his jersey.

Keep in mind a few factors when you consider McGahee's rushing. - His offensive line is TERRIBLE
- The Ravens pose no threat in the passing game. Pretty easy to stop the run then eh?
Sure, he's not elite, but if McGahee isn't having amazing success in Baltimore, what makes you think Ray Rice will? If anything, watch for him to get some carries in the redzone, but I don't see where your logic comes from.

The offensive line IS terrible. Its one things to say Rice COULD be better than McGahee. But there is no evidence to show that he IS a better back than McGahee. Which, I doubt he is.
