Kevin Curtis got hurt with a sports hernia Every time I think of a sports hernia I think of McNabb with his injury (one of many) in the past. Anyway, hopefully Jackson and/or Reggie Brown steps up. Ugh, Just found out about this from your post, this sucks. They expect him back some time in the Regular Season, but that's gonna be a big blow to our receiving corp. I like this new kid Jackson, but with Reggie hurt, our WRs are not looking good right now. I also don't see why there is no interest in Joe Horn, when we are obviously depleted at this position. At 36....he dont have much on him left. He had like 13 catches and 1 TD last season and hasnt done anything since he left NO. Plus I think the price tag is too high. His leadership is invaluable though. Someone will grab him. Not the Eagles.....they love to pass on WRs....no pun intended.

I turn to the Bears-49ers game. We're losing 20-27. Crap.

I guess because my team is so unfocused on one of our major needs, I'm trying to think of anything to get something to help us out.

DeSean Jackson is a ing beast! AMEN BROTHA! That kid is a rocket. Maybe we don't have to worry too much about Curtis being hurt... although Curtis starting alongside Jackson would ease my worries about the WR corps alot.

just read something on NFL.com and it kinda got me intrigued, not that I'm saying he'll be a superstar cause I dont think he would but how do you think Usain Bolt would do in the NFL?

Terrible, because straight-line speed is rarely used in the NFL. If he got hit once, he'd be running half speed the next time he got on the field.

BUT......Olympic athletes have faired well as NFL receivers. Willie Gault is one big name that comes to mind. I agree with Kliquid, but it wouldnt be without precedent to give him a try. I think the worst thing he has going for himself is that he isnt American and hasnt been brought up on football, like previous athletes.

Redskins looked awful last night or Carolina's defense looked spectacular. Tough to tell. But Campbell was making a load of bad decisions.

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- New York Giants defensive end Osi Umenyiora will have season-ending surgery on his injured left knee. Umenyiora was hurt in the second quarter of Saturday's preseason game against the New York Jets, and Dr. Russell Warren told the team on Sunday that an MRI found a tear in his lateral meniscus.
New York's pass rush just got a lot less effective.

Just saw it on MSN, and I was hoping yesterday after I read of his injury that he would only miss the rest of the preseason. Horrible, terrible news. I will let out a string of obscentities to myself.
I don't know if bringing old man Strahan would be the answer, although I don't think it will happen. They need to do something fast though.
