Yay a guy from the 80s 90s that's still alive to go into the "night before mania fame"

Even if he wasnt the greatest intercontinental champion of allllll time, he deserves to go in simply for his awesome shoot interviews! In fact I think he was the first real big name to do a shoot interview.

Honky Tonk might be a legend, but hes also one of, if not the most.

Honky's already in my personal Hall of Fame for hilarious chance encounters. I happened across this guy in passing once, and in my youthful naivete, asked for a photo. He was agreeable to the idea, but immediately demanded payment - somewhere in the market of $20 - $30. Somewhat taken aback, given that we weren't in the vicinity of a prearranged meet and greet, I uttered " Oh, really? Even for a quick one, huh?" " Can't have you marks makin' a buck off my name, right?," he replied. This brought me back down to reality. With my faculties finally back about me, I had to ask: " Who do you think is gonna buy a picture of me and you together?" " You'd be surprised, kid." he responded, before turning to leave. Ten years later, I'm still curious what the secondhand market for such a picture would have been in the recesses of his mind. This kinda reminded me of when I met Cooper Andrews from Walking Dead. We took a pic together and his helper was like “Ok. Let’s just make sure it came out good.” Then Cooper started laughing and said “Well if it didn’t, I’m pretty sure that guy way over there just took a picture of us. Not sure what he’s gonna do with that. Maybe photoshop his head on your body or something.” As for Honky Tonk Man, for some reason I always assumed he was already in. I’ve met him too and he is definitely all business. I met him at a comic con once and he was pretty short with me, but somewhat rude to the guy in front of me. The guy asked him how much it was. I think it was $20 for either an autograph or picture or $30 for a combo. He rushed the guy to decide and pay him. Then he was signing and asked the guy what his name was. The guy told him and started to spell it for him. Honky cut him off and was like “Yeah. Yeah. I got it man.” Pretty sure the guy ended up going back to ask for a new one because Honky wrote the wrong name on it. I met Honky at WrestleCon 2017 and he could not have been nicer. Seriously, he was one of the best that whole weekend. Stood and talked to me for quite a while before I even asked for a picture.
