A cursory search on Twitter for 'Walmart Pete Dunne' yielded one picture of the Pete Dunne action figure on a Wal-Mart peg. Beyond that, all I was able to come across was a smattering of anecdotes with no tangible evidence that state that they saw Dunne at Wal-Mart. Curiously, it would appear that a) few of these findings resulted in purchases, and b) those that did yielded no in-store photographs to document such a strange occurrence.
I think the breadth of how wide-spread this matter is has been vastly overstated in this thread.

I think the breadth of how wide-spread this matter is has been vastly overstated in this thread. A) I never said he was in every Walmart. I believe I have said that they were found in some early cases of Elite 64. It was a distribution error. Do I believe that you’ll see him in later cases? No, but that doesn’t mean that the issue didn’t happen. B) My question was if the distribution error had spread to the Wrestlemania displays. It appears it did not since you didn’t even know about the original error.

Mattel shipped Walmart cases containing Backlund to WWE Shop so there is already a history of distribution errors. Exactly. With so many examples of distribution errors already, I’m surprised there is so much disbelief over this. Well do you have a link to the pictures?

He’s been found at Walmart. It’s a distribution error but he’s been found there multiple times. I just wasn’t sure if the issue went over to the WM displays or only those early cases of E64. Why are you asking then? And how on earth did Mattel ship Target stuff to Walmart? And how could it make its way on to a Walmart stock system? Im going to say whoever told you this is a liar I'm pretty sure this has happened with Hot Wheels and I think Disney toys. I guess it happens, but I haven't heard anything about Dunne at Walmart

Is the UPC different for Walmart stock and Target stock? Also does each figure have a unique UPC for it? Well, one would think if Dunne is a Target Exclusive Walmart wouldn’t have his UPC active in their system. And if scanned would say “Item Not in File ask associate for assistance” www.walmart.com/ip/WWE-Elite-Pete-Dunne/771509715

That means nothing as their website is more 3rd party sellers haven like T0y W1z. There’s no UPC or product information listed on the site. Take the UPC into an actual WalMart stores and scan it. That will say “Item not on File ask associate for assistance”

I don't care to track them all down, but I've also seen multiple pics of Dunne in a Wal-Mart. They're out there.

With Mattel being Mattel, it's hard to doubt any screw-ups. I think the whole Dunne figure being a Target exclusive was svrew-up enough. From what I hear (as I've never been to the UK), there are no Targets there, why the heck would they make one of the UK's biggest superstars an exclusive that UK fans can't even get?! That would be like releasing a Hulk Hogan figure dressed in a USA tanktop carrying an American flag as a UK exclusive!

I knew this was going to happen sooner or later.
Maybe just stop all this Chase figure nonsense because it's only helping scalpers fell these for $100-$200 a pop on ebay.

You take that UPC barcode on Dunn’s box to an actual Walmart store and scan it and then post a pic of what the scanner says. If an in store Walmart scanner recognizes it I will say I am wrong. But until then I believe it will say “Item not on Flie ask associate for assistance” like it does for other items they don’t carry.

THANK YOU! Hopefully now people will believe me on this. I don’t think this is a widespread issue but it did happen some. In a day and age where people are taught to seek out evidence that only bolster their own arguments and told to unilaterally discount and discredit everything and everyone that goes against them, no matter how much there is to prove the contrary. LOL

Pick a side.
