Brilliant reply. That kind of attitude is typical of so many these days, those that earn well and own nice stuff are often vilified by a certain section of the public. People who make good money and own nice stuff used to be looked up to, as something or someone to aim for, and damn rightly so, I absolutely hate that the do nots think its ok to attack the go getters, I know Im ranting, but the man works for his living, I hate jealousy, if those that bitch about it worked half as hard they'd get some too Probably the most embarrassing and cringeworthy post I’ve ever read on the internet. Then I saw who posted it and it all made sense. Haha, have you ever heard the phrase "the pot calling the kettle black"?

I will agree with the majority that these exclusives are incredibly frustrating. Especially with the inconsistent distribution. I was checking the numbers daily for Harley and have logged countless hours and miles on the hunt for, now, Sherri. I finally caved and paid $65. Not my idea of a smart move, and with two small daughters, a wife and bills on a teacher’s salary... it probably wasn’t the right move. But, distribution issues exist, as do store exclusives...
I don’t agree with calling out Zach Ryder. That’s too far. That misdirected venting won’t remedy any of the consumer issues that need addressing.

It's just illogical to have an opinion on store exclusives when he gets them straight from Bill's hands.

What a great perk to have, Im not a fan of his in particular, but hate to see people like him dissed for something hes earnt, and his collecting game is unrivalled, his 80s and 90s stuff is insane. Hes a WWE superstar, why shouldnt he get figures if he wants them?

Hes a WWE superstar, why shouldnt he get figures if he wants them? I think that's it exactly. It's the fact he has more money than sense and he gets anything he wants from Mattel for nothing. Sure, I don't expect him to pay for them but it gets annoying seeing people like him and Hawkins touting their exclusives when some people have to resort to the secondary market.

Zack has a non 9 to 5 job that conceivably takes him all over the country, giving him plenty of time and opportunity to visit countless Targets and Walmarts, yet he's begging for a Sherri?

Mattel must have changed their practice because back in ‘03-‘04 the Four Horsemen Studios where sculpting the 6” DC figures for Mattel and they couldn’t get Mattel to send them a set of their finished work for their studio. They had to find it in the stores like everyone else.

Let's please forget about possible exclusives, short packs and Zack Ryder and stay on topic. Shame that Mattel didn't show more new figures but they have been pretty good cranking out stuff every couple of months.

Now that Bruce Prichard is back he probably wouldn't mind doing some location shoots for some vignettes. I think they have the perfect new gimmick for Hawkins and Ryder instead of the loveable loser thing they have going now. They can have 'Figure Hunter' segments where they are now presented as heels walking in the store toy isles berating lazy collectors that want everything handed to them and don't respect the 'thrill of the hunt'. And they can even have segments where they have local talent posing as random customers that call them dolls instead of action figures that they can attack and beat up lol.

FFS, Liv Morgan is a US exclusive?! Really frustrated at that news. Why does Mattel hate international buyers so much? I was really looking forward to purchasing this figure, but now it looks like I'll never get the chance to own it. If they don't think a figure will sell well at mass retail at Smyths (like for example, if Smyths doesn't want to order it in significant enough numbers), surely they could at least ship a small number of them to a warehouse somewhere in Europe and sell it for retail price online. I assume that must be the only thing limiting these from mass distribution, because otherwise it's ludicrous to limit distribution to one store in one country.
It seems like half of the line now is US exclusive, and that is pissing me off. Walgreens, Fan Central, Target exclusives, etc. It really should not be that way, and shame on Mattel for making it so! I don't have a large amount of disposable income, and I refuse to pay £45+ for a single lump of plastic. The only chance I have of ever getting any of these US exclusives is if someone who did pay the ridiculous price later sells it loose on eBay, and I'm lucky enough to buy it at a reasonable price. That's a rarity, and I should not be forced to do that. I should be able to order all of their product online, but I can't. And that's really dumb.

Dear Bill- Stop making figures people want to buy store exclusives or rare. Sincerely, An angered shopper with no Pete Dunne, NXT 4, Sherri or Harley Race Bill is just a designer. It is the Sales and Marketing department at Mattel that is responsible for making deals for store exclusives.

If they're only shipping small numbers, then the retail price per figure is higher than you'd pay. You're not forced to do that. This is a hobby where we buy the toys we want if they're available at a price we'll pay, not a concentration camp where we are forced to buy every toy no matter the cost. Yes you can. You just don't like the prices.

Seriously what is wrong with people. He's a WWE superstar that regularly communicates with the collecting community. That alone goes above and beyond and shows he's a regular dude too just with deeper pockets. You guys are gonna push him away same that you did with Bill from Mattel. The internet is really a very sad place on most occasions glad to see this board keeping up with that. Maybe instead of attacking people that have what you want go out and try to make things happen for yourself. I get it a concept lost on people today as there is no accountability anymore but to sit behind a computer and attack people you don't know out of jealousy is just wrong. Some of the comments too are really just nasty so I hope you guys can figure out some priorities in life.

For everyone defending Ryder and saying calling him out is unfair you are completely missing the point. On his show that you all love and defend did he not call everyone out first. By saying stop complaining and find the figures or pay more for them. It’s not an unwarranted attack bozos. He’s using a platform to tell us we should be happy with the way things are while he A. Doesn’t have to deal with what we do and B. Gets sponsored by mattel. I can’t make it any clearer than that really. Not hating the man, hating that he is trumpeting a message he has no basis to discuss. Anything he needs or wants he can get through mattel or ringside so to tell all of us to stop bitching is justification to call out his nonsense. This is my last post on this because some of you just don’t understand what I’m saying or don’t want to and just think I’m “hating on someone with money” I own a home and make six figures a year, I can afford to buy Harley race and a back scratcher but won’t on principle.

I’m not going to hate on Ryder but I’m not going to defend him either. It was a case of fortunate wealthy person who gets free stuff telling less fortunate less wealthy people to stop complaining and pay more.
It’s a bit rich is all, nothing more.
