Almost dropped $1000 on an unreleased JAKKS Randy Couture. I was juuuuuuuust about to hit “Buy it Now” when I had a moment of clarity. I mean, it is only a toy, right? I found multiple 2-packs with Chuck Liddell for $20.00 and all was right with my world. Yikes - loads of the "unreleased" Series 6 Couture figure were released in the UK... you could probably still get one for about £12 (plus shipping).

I could’ve got E16 Diesel for like $35 or $40 back when it was still new. I wish I had but I didn’t want to give that scalper money

$200 for an unproduced Playmates "Heroes of Wrestling" Bret Hart prototype, and $50 for a signed DM Flair #1 with proof several months ago. I flat out don't pay scalper prices. If I can't find it or get the hookup from a fellow collector, I don't need it.
I guess the most I've paid for a non-wrestling figure would be $100-120 each for all four NECA 1/4 scale Ninja Turtles.

I had a short spell of buying some of the older Mattels a few years ago. I think I paid £60 for that first Flashback Edge and then the wife got me Hardcore Kane for our anniversary for about £70. I kinda regret both now because honestly no figure is worth that much (to me anyway)

$30 is my cap on any single figure. Never have spent more than that per figure, if it costs more than that I do not need it. However; I do not begrudge folks who pay higher prices. They are worth they are worth to you.

$100 for Elite Goldberg with Main Event Ring Accessory.
lol
In all seriousness, I spent $80 on an Elite NXT Bobby Roode when it first came out with the new NXT belt. To this day, I've used it as a learning lesson to never overspend on a figure again.

Whatever the cost of a RSC Exclusive is when it goes up for preorder. Unless it’s a figure I absolutely have to have and I preorder it on RSC I get all my figures at mass retail or from Amazon using my prime. The only exceptions were buying the Matty Collector Legend figures off Matty. But everything else has been mass retail. YUP. I've never paid more than retail or MSRP.

Back in the day I dropped $125 shipped on a CSTT series 1 Road Warriors to complete my Classic Tag Teams collection. It was the only one I never found at retail, including the ridiculous variants from the time.
I resold it years ago when I liquidated my collection for $650 with AFA 9 grading in acrylic.

It was 40 bucks for an E17 Kelly Kelly. Although I am prepared to pay an exorbitant price for an SES Punk, should I ever come across one.

I don't recall how much I'd paid for the BAF Paul Bearer Elite set, but it was a bunch and it makes me sad.

I have gone up to $40 twice.
Once on a non-wrestling figure (needed on Marvel Legend to finish a BAF and justified it because I got most of the rest well below retail).
For a wrestling figure, I just dropped $40 on a Hall of Champions 2 Johnny Gargano. It's funny because Johnny has been a favorite of mine for some time now. I saw both his NXT figures (the basic and the Elite) once in the wild. I really hadn't ramped up my figure collecting when I saw him originally - I actually saw the whole set of the Hall of Champions 2 but wasn't even spending $20 on a figure at a time, so I decided to wait. I had somehow found a Ciampa for $13.98 in the winter so I needed the pair since they are in DIY tights. I had been seeing Johnny for much higher so when I saw one for $40, I decided to go for it and remind myself to not screw around on some of these store exclusive sets in the future.
