Wow, I feel like a mosquito in a nudist colony... where should I begin?
First off, they've built Kofi up for the past 2-3 weeks just to replace him with Owens on a random unannounced return? Imo I'd have saved his ass for an after WM return to freshen up the roster. WWE has been doing too much swapping around and will probably continue and it's really annoying, not in a good way. Meanwhile, Bryan's whole title run feels like a mid-card fued and already feels so tired, and what's Rowan's function again? We got a little interaction between Orton and Styles which is very welcome imo, one of the few big fued potentials on SD. Matt Hardy makes a return to tag with Jeff, again, completely unannounced even after his retirement last year. We've got R-Truth as US champ which is cool, but I doubt he'll keep it to WM. Will probably see Mysterio/Andrade for the US title for WM and beyond. The random NXT call ups are beating all the main roster? We have jailbirds as tag team champions. And Stephanie is on SD because...? I can go on and on, but what a mess. What the hell is going on over there?

Steph was on SDL because all of the McMahon's (Vince, Steph, Shane, HHH) are in charge of both shows.
WWE/Vince has just been so undecided as of late, so things are constantly changing because he's always changing his mind. Beats me if they're going with Bryan/KO or a triple threat at Fastlane, but this change cold signal Kofi facing Bryan one-on-one at Mania.
I don't understand the negatively toward the NXT guys winning match. Do you watch NXT/are you a fan of NXT? The general consensus with fans is that these guys are better than the vast majority of the RAW/SDL talent, so if they're being brought up to compete on RAW and SDL then they should be winning these matches. They all should be big time successes in WWE.

I hope you realize that in the wrasslin business, if you're Samoan and get in trouble with the cops, you're automatically granted a title shot. That's why the Usos are champs. That and they're pretty  ing good regardless of what happens between shows. |

It's almost like Vince has never watched an episode of NXT in his life, panicked, asked for their top guys and already doesn't know how to use them. It annoys me to no end how they're basicly shitting all over their best storyline of the last 20 years by having DIY act as babyface best buds again. We all know Gargano is taking the title from Ciampa eventually, but the only way you'd know that is if you were a fan of NXT. Gargano keeps eyeing up the NXT title in backstage segments, which is cool, but I doubt stuff like that is in the script. There's a huge story here needing it's last chapter told. It should have completed before they were brought up. And the less said about serious, gothic Black and "the flippy dude" randomly acting as a tag team the better. If they insist on bringing these guys up now, I'm happy they're off to a flyer, and I agree they should be a big success, but it makes no sense at all and seems like only a matter of time before Black is the leader of some jobber, Ravens Flock rip off stable and Gargano and Ciampa are moved to 205 Live. |

Plus XFL starts up next year so thinking he may be stepping down or will be less hands on so he can focus on his passion project. May be a way for him to kayfabe leave on TV and in real life. |

I think Smackdown has been mediocre, worse than Raw at least imo, for awhile. Kofi in the mix feels fresh and KO coming back was random but I can’t say I overly care who wins right now. Bryan keeps getting pinned, so it’s kind of like “well, anyone can be champion.” As fun as Smackdown is with everyone in the mix, it dilutes the show actually feeling like there is a top of that card guys are chasing. The tag divisions on both shows are garbage. The NXT guys up is good but Ricochet and Black is a random, sucky, pairing. Black should have taken the US Title from Truth immediately so he could face someone like Almas at Mania. Ricochet should be facing Murphy for the CW Title at Mania. DIY up as a team is perfect and they can chase/win either sets of tag titles imo. I think Miz and Shane has been atrocious television. |

Finally someone else who isn't look at sd with rose tinted glasses. It's pitiful we can go weeks without seeing Almas, Rusev, Good Brothers, Asuka, and Shelton Benjanim. It's hypocritical that nobody says anything negative about Shane being a big part of tv . but if it was Stephanie people would lose their minds. This is very similar to a post from last week. Almas, Nakamura, Rusev, Benjanim, Tye. Those guys rarely appear or have big feuds that can grip the audience. Mysterio, Asuka, Truth and The Bar has also been missing for a while too which is leaving them with nothing to do. At least Raw makes stars where Smackdown is just a wasteland for talent. WWE has clearly decided to go with Bryan vs Kofi at WM. This should be applauded. Even if you don't like Kofi, the crowd is hot for him and WWE is giving him the push. They listened.
People complain we don't get surprises. Welp, ya just got two on SD. It's nice in the day and age of the internet, that we can still be surprised from time to time.
This thread is equally as random and could easily have been put in the SD thread with everyone else's opinions of the show. That's the whole point of having stickied threads.

I like all the NXT call ups but they are ruining the shows at present. They have no storyline's or direction and the main roster stars are putting them over each week.
Also what's going to happen after WM? Are they going to introduce more of them?

About Kofi getting his title match taken, i think they're following what they're doing to Becky, in storyline, take the title match away so the fans would want it more. Hes gonna get his title match. Whether its now, or at Mania

Kofi will either get added to the Fastlane match or get a shot at WM. They way they’re getting their is clunky as hell.
I’m fine with the NXT guys getting wins. What I’m not a fan of is them having no stories what so ever. Why are DIY buddies again? Why should we care about Black and Richocet when they have yet to reveal anything about their characters to the mass audience except that “they’re great in-ring guys!” Having them win pointless matches is what will kill them before they have a real shot on the main roster.
