It's been hit or miss for me. Some of them look amazing. But non-sculpted beards tend to look too thin imo, and the visible pixellation in the eyes really bothers me.

I'm still not sold on these. A lot of them look like they were carved out of a potato.
The new Hasbro Star Wars Black Series heads are waaaaay better than whatever the hell Mattel is using.

Yeah I'm digging it. I've been picking up Basics just to swap heads onto Elites that had the old style. Just swapped Matt Hardy two days ago... I did the same, that matt headscan is amazing. I’ve been obsessed with getting newer figures with true fx to head swap.

I'm still 50/50 on them. Some look good but some dont. Most beards look more like the figure is dirty. Rollins looks nothing like Rollins IMO but to be fair, neither didnt the painted version.

The beard on that Matt looks horrendous. It's why I don't like the Rollins, either. If Mattel was putting out Hasbro level likenesses I would totally agree but outside of Adam Cole and the new AJ Styles, I can't say I'm a huge fan. There are plenty of the older heads I think are superior to the FX versions.
I guess what I don't understand is why Curt Hawkins uses True FX and looks good because the paint applications are largely normal but someone like Bobby Roode looks like he's wearing a holographic mask with chocolate smeared all over it? It's just so bizarre from one figure to the next.
To each their own. I agree with the full-on Monet premise. Good from far, but far from good.

Not sure if they're actually all that much better. I think it's a case of a hard to reconcile change. Now that I have so many True FX figures it's not that I view the older as inferior, they're just different. In this regard it irks me to have two clearly distinct styles of figures within my collection.

I’m trying to get on board. Goldberg looks like he’s sick and he has makeup on, billy Gunn looked like he was wearing makeup and his face was dirty. Only one I was impressed by was Roaddog. All the pixelated eyes bother me as well.

Yea hit or miss but I think they’ll improve. Hasbro collecting has changed because of the technology. If only SHF woulda marketed the technology lol. I remember gentle giants and Hakka did the full body scans with R3. Figures were ahead of their time.

I guess I’m easy to please because I’ve been loving these head scans.

I think the facial hair generally looks a lot better...Compare the newest Nakamura to older ones.

Thanks to true FX we got one of the most impressive face scans ever where every millimeter is just perfect. Roman Reigns: They don't need to change it ever again Too bad they do for the next series.

I still think Bobby Fish is the best one.

Here's the pics I posted in the other thread, it's all the ones I have (forgot to add Backlund and this was before I bought Hardy or Dunne)... So hang on a minute, we are all finding problems with every FX scan we come across, you have 35 (or so) without any problems? Yeaaaaaah right! Id love to see photos of those figures. Since we live in a world in which you think I have reason to lie... It's actually well over 40. Some are head swaps from Basics. You can zoom in yourself if you doubt anything.

It’s been fairly good on most figures, however some not so much like Alexa bliss aka bride of chucky.

My favorite thing about this "atrocious" Matt Hardy scan is the small gray hairs in his beard... The old style just had a grayish black beard for the whole thing...

I think the facial hair generally looks a lot better...Compare the newest Nakamura to older ones. I used to think that the DM Nakamura was the best scan. But then after seeing the E63 one in person.....damn man it’s just sooo good.

McIntyre and Nakamura have been most 2 most favorites! Owens and Aleister look amazing too! Swag's is quite incredible, early contender for the best WWE figure of 2019.
