I think he could've wrestled in WWE from 2001-2011 if the pieces would've aligned. Imagine the matches against The Undertaker, Randy Orton, Edge, CM Punk, and many more. He could've had a few World Title runs and could've also been booked to be a special attraction like how Undertaker was in the Ruthless Aggression Era. What do you guys think?

He was going to join till he saw the promo by the Rock about Booker T saying "who the heck are you", so he was worried he would be reduced to being an unknown by Vince. But it would've been epic, I'd see him win the world heavyweight title a few times rather than the WWE title. I'm sure they could do a PPV or WM streak for him, and eventually have a "streak vs. streak" match with Taker at WM(enter number here)

I would've had him face Undertaker twice at WrestleMania (WrestleMania XIX & XX). Once as the American Badass & once as The Deadman. I could've seen him on Raw because 'Taker was on Smackdown.

Would have been huge if he had came in during the RA era....but again its too little too late by Vince. Just like Flair, Steiner, Goldberg etc.
Sting was very protective of his character...I could see him not being happy with how he was used in WWE after an initial push and retreating too if I'm honest. HBK is his church buddy....and tried his absolute best to talk him into coming in...but Sting seemed so insecure about his role even HBKs chats couldn't reassure him.

People think that Sting would have had a nice, long run with WWE. I think the opposite. Vince would have no idea what to do with him. It's evident that Vince didn't have a clue when Sting finally did show up. I mean really? Did he HAVE to lose to HHH at Mania? There was no reason for that. So Sting showing up years ago would have been the same thing. He'd get misused and then leave after a year. His run with the company would look like Scott Steiner.

Had he come in in 2001 he’d probably have been tainted with the whole invasion angle. If memory serves me correctly, he didn’t have the passion for the business so probably wouldn’t have stuck around for too long after.
In fantasy land though if Sting v Flair had been the first “WCW” match instead of Booker T v Bageell, we may have had the separate WCW entity. I can but dream!

Had Sting joined in the early 90's, I think he would have been Hogan's successor. Feuds with Hart & HBK would have main eventer several WM's.
Had Sting joined during or shortly after the Invasion, I think he would have had a great run. Just not as epic. The talent pool was too deep. But he could have had feuds with Austin, Rock, Taker, Kane, Jericho, Angle, and even Triple H. I'd love to have seen what a younger Sting vs a younger Triple H could have been.
By the time he did join WWE, he was 56 years old. I'm just happy they signed him and let him have one short run at that point. Because they didn't owe him anything.

I will never ever understand the fascination of Sting vs Undertaker. They literally have nothing in common other then they both wear black. Maybe we just have a bunch of weird goth kids around here? Sting could have had so many better matches/feuds then with Taker.

Sting could have had so many better matches/feuds then with Taker. When you think about the most loyal faces of both WWE and WCW, it's easy to see that The Undertaker and Sting were the franchises of each company. Taker has been with the WWE for almost 30 years now and Sting had been the one main event player who stuck with WCW from his debut until their dying days. When wrestling was at its peak in the late 90s, both had similar macabre gimmicks where they portrayed dark characters which further fueled their fantasy matchup status amongst the fans. Undertaker is WWE. Sting is WCW. The storyline writes itself.

Had NJPW acted faster, Jim Helwig was supposed to be Vader in Japan, defeating Antonio Inoki in record time.
Had this occurred, Vince McMahon might've hired the other member of the Blade Runners to portray the Ultimate Warrior character.
Would've been awesome actually.
