See, you point of that you “only get one day”... that’s your choice in life. Granted you don’t complain about it or blame Mattel, but obviously with having a family, certain things get put on the back burner. Some people don’t see that and believe everything should go the way they want it to 100% of the time. That’s just not how life works. Well, the kids WERE a choice but having to share 1 car with the mrs is kinda no choice. Dont get me wrong, It SUCKS not having to find ANY new figs (I'm a Authors mark and I JUST found Rezar @ Target. Sadly, no Akam) but I just know of all else fails, I can get them for half off somewhere down the line at flea markets, collectible shows, or BF sales. It seems like Walmart Canada only got Akam lol

The thing is I don't agree with current stars being exclusives, surely the kids would want to buy figures who are on TV but instead they are put in exclusive Walmarts and targets that by the sound of it even American collectors are struggling to find. So I'm not sure who it benefits other than the ones who pick up 5 and sell them for £70+ on Ebay

I guess some people fail to realize what the term 'exclusive' means. If a figure is such a big deal to you, join a forum like this one, and make some friends in the US that would be willing to go find one for you and ship it over to you. Or you look the other way and realize it's just a toy and should be available to everyone?

I never said they do. Read what I wrote again. Someone scalps them all. Someone else decides no price is too high to buy one at. Boom, precedent set, all of them get listed high. "Someone scalps them all" you dont honestly believe that surely? You only have to read this forum to know thats bs If i list something worth $100 for $500 chances are it wont sell, if it does, thats thr new value, set by the buyer, then others follow You're basically just parroting what I'm saying dude.

Jesus Christ! It. Is. Not. Mattel Nor WWE. Neither company is going to turn down guaranteed money with a contract. I’m willing to bet Mattel’s WWE line is financially the most successful WWE toy line in history. YES IT IS! They can go digital, which is what they should be doing, its 2019! Online is the way to go not retail, RETAIL IS DEAD! Mattel went digital in 2011 with Mattycollector and a Legends line which is what collectors wanted and it failed.

Glad I’m not that into current guys. Yes, this could be pretty frustrating.
Same goes for Funko Pops, though.
It isn’t just a wwe thing.
Are guys like Dunne really going for $100+? Lol, damn.

I don't see what the fuss is, Its a hobby, collect for "fun". Most collectors get out of control and that ruins their hobby/fun. Get what you can and don't freak out over such minor things. It doesn't matter what you collect, its the same thing.. let it be Marvel..WWE , Funko, transformers..ect.

This is the thing that gets me. The most exclusive figures always seem to available to everyone. Hot toys is always up for sale on numberous sites and they are high priced collectibles. Even limited edition figures that were limited to 100 were available when Jakks had the liscense

Mattel went digital in 2011 with Mattycollector and a Legends line which is what collectors wanted and it failed. It didnt fail. Not at all, the matty collector website was hugely succesful for quite a number of years with the MOTUC line. Had they decided to include a more flexible roster of figures including current talent rather than only flashbacks who's to say it wouldnt have been succesful enough to continue. You dont get it, the only company that is failing is Mattel. Wake up, they arent giving the consumer what they want. Far far from it. You only need to look at the threads talking about the exclusives frustration, how embarassing not to have the UK champions avilable in the UK for example. Its a disaster.

Had MattyCollector not sucked ass and been a rellik (that’s killer spelled backwards) straight from the year 2000, maybe it would’ve succeeded. They charged horrible shipping that was slower than the pony express and the odds of getting beat up boxes were far higher than they should’ve been. Also Mattel and WWE barely promoted the thing so it’s failure was inevitable.

Because Harley Race, Pete Dunne and Aleister Black arent sold online? Even if these "scalper bait" exclusives were sold online, they would still sell out quick like they do in the stores. Then what do the people who couldnt buy them complain about?
