I love the way the newer figures, especially Elite figures are looking these days. But one thing that is kind of frustrating is the scale/height of some of the Elites compared to some of the basics. The basic Singh Brothers tower over my Elite AJ Styles figures. But my basic AJ Styles is taller than the Elite AJ. What other examples of messed up scale issues between Elite and Basic figures bothers you?

They’re two separate lines designed by two separate people using different parts and molds. I don’t they should be compared with each other.

The basic and elite scale should be compared to each other as they were meant to be interchangeable/played with or displayed together. The Singh Brothers basics should not tower over an elite AJ Styles figure

The Sting figures (minus the last 3) are all too short compared to their elite counterparts. They did correct their height on the Network Spotlight, Fan Central and JJ Dillion BAF. The Basic Macho Mans are too tall and some of the basic Bret Hart figures have been too short compared to their elite counterparts. Those are the ones that bother me. They’re two separate lines designed by two separate people using different parts and molds. I don’t they should be compared with each other. They should be because since day one Mattel said Elites, Basics and FlexForce would all be the same scale so they could all be used in the same universe. Sure not everything will be perfect but there’s been too many mistakes over the years.

From seeing these kinds of topics pop up, it's clear there's a disconnect between what fans expect from a toy line and what the designers/manufacturer can realistically provide with their given budget.
I have no idea what the Core series is "supposed" to "be for". Is it an economic way of making less popular/unique characters? (Singh Bros, that one rabbit figure, Great Khali, etc.) Is it for parents to buy their kids cheaper figures to bang around?
Did Mattel make the claim that Core figures were going to be the same scale as the Elite line? (source please)

The worst one was the Ultimate Warrior and Honky Tonk Man battle pack.
The guy that designs basics is basic

They said from Day One (Ish) that everything would be scaled together. Originally that held true with a few exceptions like the original Mr. Perfect & mailaway Vince but they started to reuse a lot of leg parts so things got muddled.

What I hate lately is the head size. Hawkins has a peanut head while AJ elite 66 is huge

I could care less about Basics nowadays, but out of scale Elites bother me.
Aleister Black & Undisputed (Cole, O'Reilly) being equal height to Daniel Bryan is absurd, HOF Sting being as tall as a Balor is absurd & Samoa Joe being short af is absurd.
There's probably more but those are the ones i got in front of me. As for Basics, like someone mentioned above, the Warrior/Honky Battle Pack was a joke.

The only scale issue that really bothers me in my collection is Ted Dibiase. He's a teeny tiny little man next to IRS, Bam Bam and Tatanka. Which is a shame because I put the laughing head on that green suited Basic and I love that figure outside of the height. You can fix the legs on IRS but then he's just too short as well. I wish they would release an Elite suited version that is more in scale.
I still hate L3 Mr. Perfect but I haven't owned it for years. I'm still waiting on the Perfect Perfect. I like the yellow Basic the best but I'd love for them to do an Elite of him in the green with the right height, thicker waist/abdomen, and no mismatch paint colors for his attire.

Hasn’t bill said in the past few years that elites are to scale while basics aren’t meant to be anymore?

I'll always harp on about this: Samoa Joe's Elite figures are a mess.

Video in a nutshell: "And an i wish i could see triple h.....cause his so strong and his so handsome and gentle...and his is a great actor..and she is my 2nd Favorite wrestler..." haha
Hasn’t bill said in the past few years that elites are to scale while basics aren’t meant to be anymore? I don't know what to believe anymore. I heard Elites are getting rooted hair in an upcoming "Real Feel" series lmao
