And why should anyone? It's entirely about trying to get the money whilst maintaining a vaguely okay image. They're definitely not going to Saudi Arabia to try and break down social barriers. So what? Of course WWE wants the money. Any successful business would. But regardless of why WWE is there, if they can help get a country to change the way they view women, that’d be a massive step forward. Whether anyone here wants to admit it or not. You have to remember what age we’re living in. Any company that makes a decent amount of money is automatically labeled as greedy by certain members of society. Sometimes it’s true, sometimes it isn’t. But no amount of PR will change minds regardless. If women are allowed to wrestle over there, it would be eye opening to say the least though. That’s a full 180 degree change. WWE wouldn’t need too much from Dunne. News media would be all over that. I will say I have to admire Vince’s gambling skills. With all the controversy in that area of the world, it was a big risk to stick out the deal.

They're breaking down walls and building bridges no matter how miniscule a scale it is. It's a foundation at least.

I look forward to the day where the rest of the world stops congratulating countries/dictators for letting women show their bare shoulders in public, or even just vote, and instead tell them to get their camelsh*t together and abolish ridiculous hang-ups like that.
We can't have smartphones and Lamborginis and carbon nano tubes in the same countries that stone people to death for eating or wiping their ass with the "wrong" hand. What a ridiculous society to try to live in, someone should make a comedy about it.

People would respect the WWE far more if they just came out and said that the deal was freaking nuts and that they were basically throwing money at them and they would have been insane to turn it down.
I have always said that I fully understand why the WWE took this deal. My problem was them then wanting a pat on the back for being the most forward-thinking company in the world due to the way they treat their female employees before and then after it happened. You cannot have it both ways.

No, they wouldn’t. Edgy teens might, but working, responsible adults - like those who work in positions of power at companies that sponsor or partner with WWE - would not respect a “we rich on blood money lolololol” corporate statement at all. Nothing is gained from doing it and much could be lost.

I can't see it tbh. They would have to wear robes and all the jazz. Looked alright in Abu Dhabi.

Here's a crazy thought...let's not risk any of the women getting killed just because they're there.

I'm sure a country with a mentality stuck in the 6th century will change its whole belief system just because a few women wrestled in front of them...
