Recently I've been watching old WCCW shows on the Network. As a lifelong wrestling fan I would have loved to have visited the Sportatorium and experience that sweltering heat and raucous crowd, but I was 10 back in '88. Anyways, from time to time I see threads appreciating how underrated some wrestlers were and I have to throw "The Iceman" King Parsons name in there.
I forgot how entertaining he was, promos, strut, the flamboyant gear - he was generating red hot heat for those southern crowds. What a colourful elite figure he would have made too with his double-Mohawk with blonde tips, red shades, top hat, etc.
Why didn't the big two ever snap him up?

Good ol' Iceman. Loved his heel work in the UWF. I always thought he would've been a better fit with Crockett. Imagine him in a babyface team with Boogie Woogie man Jimmy Valient. Would've been entertaining as hell.

Well he was in a tag team with Perry Jackson as the Blackbirds, but I too would have loved a penguin & parrot mash-up! That stuff practically writes itself!

Not gonna lie, I came here for a riveting discussion of Dean Malenko I really never saw Parsons wrestle until I got wwe 24/7. I knew who he was but all I knew of WCCW was from magazines back in the day. Because other than the WWF all my area got was Crockett Promotions Saturday Night show on TBS.

I really enjoyed that service. I liked how each month was a specific theme.

The Rock stole his "Rooty poo" catchphrase. Very good entertainer. I liked him better as a heel. If you want a laugh, check out his match against Kerry Von Erich when he wins the WCCW title. .....is that a foreign object in your tights, or are you just glad to see me?
