Wrestling in the 80s? Or the decade in general? 2 hour Raws. Brand specific ppv’s. Brands only cross when there’s a big 4. I like these ideas, especially the brand specific PPV's. If they did 4 PPV's for just RAW and 4 just for Smackdown then do 4 combined PPV's (Rumble, Mania, Summer Slam, and Survivor Series) this could help with the building feuds. If the feud didn't have to be on every PPV feuds could last a bit longer. I would also add not having guys who are feuding, and going to be wrestling at a PPV or two, to not wrestle each other every Raw or Smackdown (kind of like a few years ago how Zayn and Owens seemed to fight on TV every time). Can I have both?

I miss the red, white, and blue ring ropes, the winged eagle championship, legitimate tag teams wear matching attires, managers, and when Vince was known just as an announcer 😂

- Not having LED ring posts and skirts. - Championship designs that looked like real prizes to be won and not giant corporate logos bolted to some leather. - A strict brand split, as in RAW superstars ONLY on RAW and SmackDown guys ONLY on SmackDown, thus making it a big deal when someone shows up on the other show. - Actual managers. - Fair and impartial general managers/authority figures. - Different styles in wrestlers (ie not having everyone basically wrestler the same way). - Intelligent and non-cowardly heels. - Specialty matches being used when appropriate and not just as a PPV gimmick (ie Elimination Chamber, TLC, Hell In A Cell, etc...). - Survivor Series cards being made up of mostly Tag Team Elimination matches. - Colorful attires (too many people these days in just black). - Kayfabe. - Blood when appropriate for storyline.

1) Actual storylines....I’d take 2 guys who can’t wrestle but their storyline has me completely invested over 2 guys who are the greatest technicians in the word. 2) JR I miss the big time feel of championship matches when JR was calling them (it don’t get no bigger than this) 3) like everyone else has said, Different PPV entrance stages 4) the incredible opening promos to PPVs (see 96/97/98) 5) kayfabe....social media and all the television have killed WWE...why should I care that 2 people are in a feud when I see them buddy buddy on their reality show 6) I miss caring about wins and losses....In the late 90s I was on the edge of my seat hoping Stone Cold didn’t lose the title...it’s like watching your favorite sports team and living and dying play by play. With every move. Now it’s all 50/50 booking so you really just watch for ‘how they do it’ rather than who won or lost 7) Current WWE doesn’t even come close to touching anything from 85-2009 8) the commercials on Monday night after a ppv to order ‘the replay’

Michael Cole not being at his most unbearable. He's honestly worse than he's ever been Catchphrases/Nicknames that are organic Heels having personality rather than being cool or a coward Backstage segments for comedy

Actual video intros to Raw and Smackdown instead of just "WELCOME TO *this show here*" followed by a 20 minute opening segment.

I miss backstage when interviewers actually conducted interviews that furthered the stories and put over the talent. Now everything just feels scripted, rushed, unnatural and unnecessary

The presentation not feeling so sterile. I miss the dirty, gritty style.

Good camera work - especially not seeing crowd reaction shots every ten seconds. More frequent backstage segments that weren't just interviews/segments from the GM's office. Characters having some backstory, other than just showing up and having a dozen catchphrases or nicknames attached to them. Not having names shortened months or years after being on the main roster. 24/7 rule for the Hardcore Title. Even randomly instituting it for one week for the IC/US Title occasionally would be so much fun. Less slick, bright, and polished look of the set. So much LED now. Makes things feel so washed out to me. I'd love to see some grit back to it. Pyro. Really, just more overall variety and some air of unpredictability. I was hoping that when Ryder had the Internet title, they would have a 24/7 rule with it. People could win and post it on Twitter or Facebook.

Jim Johnston theme songs. They were all so different and unique to the character. They all sound the same now, overproduced and static where you have to look at the screen behind them to even see who it is.

When we didn't have promos simply for the purpose of having someone be interrupted by three other guys setting up a lame tag-team match. And if a wrestler was talking on their own without being interviewed by Mean Gene it was usually the more, quiet taped clips with the background graphics that drew you in and didn't have to deal with 'WHAT??' or 'YOU DESERVE IT!' chants througout.

I miss when the stone cold gimmick was given to stone cold instead of a 120 pound woman that it doesn't fit at all.

Things I miss:
Commentary that helps tell the story in the ring Commentary that puts over the wrestlers Commentators that stay in character Commentators having rapport with one another

Segments that aren't in the ring or a GM office. It's been getting better lately, but not enough for me. I miss on location segments. Like Eddie and Austin in the bar. Stuff like that. I miss when the stone cold gimmick was given to stone cold instead of a 120 pound woman that it doesn't fit at all. At least it's over. Reactions seem to be reserved for Becky and Kofi and very few else.

Not necessarily the WWE, but....
Having bailing twine for a barricade. Throwing fireballs. The "snap sound" the ring ropes used to make in Jim Crockett Promotions. Titles that had merit & credit. When the camera ever went backstage, you knew it was a BIG deal. Ringside interviews. Blood. Hidden foreign objects. Brass knuckles, salt, a shoe- that's fine. Finding a kendo stick or a sledgehammer that just happens to be under the ring? No, thank you. Managers with an army of wrestlers.

The uniqueness that PPV's had in general. The black ropes, the entrance stages, and the recap they'd air the following night on Raw before the opening credits roll, with the commentary above just still photo images of what went down in the Main Event of the PPV for those that had missed it. It all gave PPV's such an aura and special feel to them, something which if they brought back, would surely help them sell more buys?
I'm also not a fan of how these days virtually every feud lasts 2-3 PPV's, with gimmicks added. That used to be purely for the biggest and most special feuds. Stone Cold vs Kurt Angle back in 2001, Triple H vs Shawn Michaels in 2002, for example. Nowadays, they just drag it out, even if it still doesn't get that personal and is just a mid card feud.
Commentary that's pushing and calling the action in the ring genuinely and as it happens, not constant recaps of the past few weeks and plugs.
Blood, when appropriate, was an extremely powerful tool for selling. It doesn't have to be every PPV, but for feuds that do go the distance or major Championship bouts at the big 2/3 events, pulling out blood is a great way to get a babyface or a heel over.
