Ronda Rousey will have her first “ring gear” figure out in May.... a month after she will be officially done with the company. Wow Mattel, you punted on that one
Becky will be a mid carder again by the time they release her Man themed figures

"Officially done" Nitpicking will always turn out faults. Saving Ronda's ring gear release for the UE line was a business decision, and a wise one, at that. Anyone waiting for that one has been offered a premiere figure that hasn't been released before, and it's going to be an early driver for a line Mattel will be looking to put some weight behind. Never mind the fact that Ronda already had a figure at market and ready for purchase nine months following her arrival in the company, with another dropping three months later.

Let's not get off-topic here.
The bigger question for me is that why in 2019 does it still take 8-12 months to produce a figure of a wrestler from their debut (on average?). You've had the license for going on 10 years, you've been in the toy business for 100 years, it's 2019 - do toy designers need some LEAN 6 Sigma training or something?

I mean it has to be the process right? I mean I saw a cool video on the Star Wars blu ray of them getting scanned on the set, so I mean I’m sure it’s the same process for the Star Wars and Marvel movies right? They just have the benefit of filming so far in advance of when the toys are in stores. I feel like if it could be faster it would.

I mean I kind of agree with maybe we didn't need both Elite and Basic Ronda to not be wrestling attire but it is what it is. As someone said they were probably saving it for the Ultimate Edition series. Can anyone confirm if they're on scale with elite figures or would I have to wait for an Elite or Basic Ronda to come out?
