Whats the deal with the Walmart Flashback series 3? Did they make significantly less of these or have they yet to hit most areas?

It could have been less numbers because Bill did say that the line was cancelled before Series 3 had even hit. But personally I think it was the same production run as all my area WalMarts had the same amount of Series 3 that they had for the previous 2 waves. I think it was timing because they hit right around the start of the holiday season so they probably moved faster.

I keep a close on on the scalpers and their online stores and not one of them has or had a Flashback Series 3. I’m convinced it never made it to my area. It would’ve at least seen Austin floating around.
It’d be great if Mattel reintroduced The King and Steamboat in the elite line for everyone to be able to seize.

They seem to hit right after series 2 did. I remember seeing series 2 for the first time and within a couple of days someone found series 3 and then it seemed at random both were popping up at stores, but series 2 was hitting way more.
At the time I was passing 6 Wal-Mart's for my driving route and all of them but maybe 1 had got in series 1, but only 3 of them got in series 2 and none of them ever saw series 3.

Never found it myself. Not many Harley Race figures have shown up on eBay, which leads me to believe most Walmart’s didn’t stock the set.

Or it could just mean that seeing Race was short packed at 1 per case most that were bought were by collectors for their personal collections. I know the two I bought were for myself and JokerFC’s collection.

These were definitely a smaller batch. Austin being packed 3 to a case woulda had a pretty lengthy shelf life and these were barely spotted anywhere.

We're not exactly dealing with a vocal minority situation at this point: MOST of the people on this forum, on IG, twitter, and FB groups report NEVER having seen series 3. The hosts of the more popular podcasts, who all get around to a lot of different towns, never saw them. Series 3 was just not shipped out to the vast majority of the stores across the country. Certain geographic locations seem to have gotten them while a whole lot more did not. I'm sorry if that bothers people who found them and think they're sitting on gold to know there are cases upon cases of them sitting SOMEWHERE, but it seems to be true. Will they show up anytime soon? Who knows. Maybe years down the road they'll show in some random warehouse and end up sold by an industrious reseller in 2030 or something.

It was obviously cancelled because Walmart drastically reduced the quantity they wanted if so many of you havent ever seen it

Series 3 hit 1 Walmart that I know of and only Austin and Jake were left way back when. If I didn't have to go to BJ's to help my parents get stuff, on a rare trip to New Jersey, I probably would have never seen them. Bill and Steve both claimed everyone who wanted a Harley Race should be able to get one, and there are still a great many of us that don't have them. I have a feeling like Then Now Forever 3 this set is still sitting in a warehouse waiting for someone to get the production run. As it stands now Harley Race is one of the few I'm missing to have the complete Mattel roster. Packing him 1 per case didn't help, but on the other hand every other figure in the 3 Flashback sets was 2 per case except him.

Whats the deal with the Walmart Flashback series 3? Did they make significantly less of these or have they yet to hit most areas? Nobody knows what the deal is. Mattel is locked down tighter than Fort Knox, they are not very forthcoming with information about their products so any discussion about Flashback series 3 (or any set/figure for that matter) is purely speculation. The optimistic people here (me included) are hoping that there is still some stock out their somewhere that will eventually be released. However, I am starting to believe that this set was produced in a much smaller quantity compared to the others which means whatever was made has been released. I agree, I think Jake should be re-released again as well as that figure was different than the others they have released so it would sell (although I believe Jake Roberts figures sell well in general). Knowing Bill/MDT, they will probably re-release another attire of each of these guys instead of just re-releasing these same figures which did not get a proper release in the first place and should have been as widely available as previous series were.

Some Walmart’s got the set in very small quantities.....most Walmart’s just never got the set at all. It’s, in a way, a semi cancelled set so there’s not many out there

Didn't bill say it was a short run and they sold thru them? He has said nothing. I point blank asked him on Twitter and other people have asked as well. No one is saying Shit, my guess is maybe on the next Q&A video it will be asked. If it is asked I'm sure it will be some very vague "I don't know" or "We are looking into that" response.

Series 3 came out quickly after 2 which I found odd. My Walmart got at least 2 cases and it was refilled once. After that I never saw them again. I was fortunate to find Race. Pete Dunne on the other hand is a different story!

A member here talked with MattelDesignTeam at Vegas a few weeks ago. One of the things mentioned was that Flashback 3 was a limited run and all cases were sent to Walmart. If there were any not shipped to stores, it would be in the hands of Walmart, not Mattel to get them out. forum.wrestlingfigs.com/thread/357703/vegas-toy-con?page=22

So if someone asks him at a convention he will answer, but nowhere else.
