My question for them is why don't they let em breathe , aside from future retail value

... and if you don’t play with them, then leave em in the box.
I’d rather keep something MOC knowing that it’ll keep it’s value, if I ever decided to sell them, than to open them up and lose the value just to have it do the same thing as it would do still in the box ... sit there.
GRANTED, I’ve seen some sick loose displays, but I prefer MOC 👍🏻

Yeah, agreed, if I were to ever open up anything I wouldn't be playing with them anyway. I don't collect basics, but the few that I have I'm going to open up because I don't really care to have those MOC or not. I want to get the B96 Sasha to keep MOC though, because I really like her in that attire. That is an exception, cause I really like Sasha. The only Elite I have loose is a duplicate of the Walgreens Sasha.

I have all 4 walls in my wrestling room covered in moc elites & it looks awesome imo, I try to convince my self I should display them loose, because I have no room left, but I keep coming up with creative ideas to hang them. But I also have every elite 1-67 loose

Resale value is nice, but being able to get what I want without selling something else off won me over.

This E67 Orton has been on my shelf for almost a week now MOC. I felt like he was one of the few figures I had that should stay MOC. But honestly I decided to open it and I’m happy I did. You can do so many different poses and stuff with loose figures. The only reason I see for anyone to keep a full blown Mattel, or any figure, collection MOC is for future resale

I keep my figs MOC cause i get them signed. sorry for the crappy pics I took them quick As someone who has a large MOC signed collection as well, I could not even imagine displaying them like this. I would be way too concerned about them getting dusty and messing up the plastic window on all of those figures. Until I find a way to display all my signed MOC figures behind glass, I have them all stored in storage containers for now, but they are also inside RSC Defender Cases. I have a few on display in my office right now, and are also in defender cases. The same I mentioned could very well happen to the cases, but I can always replace the cases, but not the signed figures.

I have never had a problem with damage of any Kind to the figures and i've been getting figures signed for almost 20 years. the window has a shade which is always down. as far as dust goes its very minimal and i use a swifer to clean them which works great

I personally would just hate to take a risk like that, and I don't even have as many as you do.

I didnt taken pics of my BAf elites, Legends, my JAKKS 1/500s, CS series 1, LJNs & unmatched Furys. Plus I have a bunch of jakks figs boxed up in tubs in my closet

The only thing I am a MOC collector of is Hot Wheels Super Treasure Hunt cars. They are rare as it is. I immediately put the car in a protector pack. I only have 2 MOC figures and they are both Kenner DC figures from the 90s. They both have literally have zero scratches on the plastic bubble. I doubt there is any way to get the scratches out of clear plastic, considering how thin the plastic is.

Can't compete with the other cool collection, but I just think they look cool shelved, like books.

question for MOC collectors...Why keep toys away from the children they are intended for and pinned up on your wall?
