I had ordered a few customs elite figure from this guy last June and tho hes been too slow in making them he was talking to me through the process, now I haven't heard from him since January and getting really pissed , he hasn't responded to any of my messages on Instagram or on here , does anyone on here in the custom community know a better way to contact or get in touch with chargrove?
0lease he already took some money already to get started

The best way to contact someone who takes your money is to open a dispute through paypal. Suddenly they have all the time in the world to respond.
I'm guilty of this, sometimes I'll simply forget I was working on a project either because I have too many gigs going or because of the crap going on in my life, and I'll get a "surprise" refund request. Still, it's my fault.
And even so, if someone messages me, I make sure to respond ASAP.

Threaten to open a dispute.
Customized have no issue taking and spending your money well before you get any progress done.
It’s why I stopped buying custom figures. It’s often a hassle dealing with them at some point.

He was keeping in touch and showing progress pics but stopped messaging me back early January when I put the order in last April! When he quoted me by July they would be done. I still want the figures but I'll take my money back if your not responding to me after taking $190 from me. All he's gotta do is keep me in the loop and like I said it's been 2 months since his last message, now I have to light a fire under him.

Again, I’d say threaten to file a dispute.
It’s been almost a year with no figure(s). I’m sure he had no problem spending the money real fast, but when it comes to work getting done... it’s every excuse under the sun, or no replies.
Point is, don’t take on projects if you can’t get them done in a timely manner.

I had a really good experience getting my customs just over a year ago, but he seems to have more or less vanished from this board since then.
Hope you get this resolved soon.

Unreal, just got a message from him saying he closed the order and returned my money in full, said he couldn't manage the time and did not get any further in the progress, so that why he didn't answer to me.... So what you were just gonna take my money ?! I still want my figures tho.

Some people have trust issues, and it doesn't mix well with the trust required to do this kind of business. Trust, like taking a client’s money and it not being a priority to work on their project? Customizers wanna use their work as a form of business, yet have horrible business practices. There’s zero reason I customer/client should have to wait longer than a few weeks for a commissioned piece to be completed. If not, don’t take on the job. |

Oh, it’s not everyone. I’ve dealt with flaky customizers.
But I’ve also been on this forum for a long time and have read stories from other members dealing with this same issue. It’s even been mentioned that Chargrove has done this before.
So no, it’s not assuming and generalizing. Bye.

I posted a month or so ago that I was looking for a Marty Jannetty head on the Classifieds board. Chargrove PM'd me offering to cast and paint one for a reasonable price and I accepted. He said it would be done in a few days.
Communication was great for a week or so, then he didn't respond for a few days. He then sent me a picture of a finished head and I asked him for his PayPal address to send payment. That was 3 weeks ago and I haven't heard back since despite sending him 4 or 5 messages on here. He's logging in, but not responding.
I haven't done much business with customizers, but it seems to be really hit or miss and they tend to disappear at an alarming rate. Definitely don't send PayPal Friends & Family, or you won't be able to dispute the charge if you run into problems.

When paypal couldnt get my money back i went through my bank, two days later probably when he received the bank refund request, he wasted no time messaging me, if i were you id just go through your bank or paypal because its within 180days of transaction. He messaged me like 4 days ago so hes intentionally ignoring you

The guy is a known scammer. He's done it multiple times and I'm not sure how he hasnt been banned yet. He even had his bad trader tag removed for some reason.

I've found in this instance, unfortunately, if someone doesn't respond within at least around 4-5 days, they're obviously intentionally avoiding you. And that sucks when you have your time, money and hopes invested.
Above all, always do as much research into who you're dealing with. There's always information, even with somewhat reputable people. Do whatever research possible, especially when you're putting your money upfront.
