Just a penny for your thoughts. No matter how bad you want to believe that the WWE and Vince has started to "listen to their viewers", they haven't. It just so happens that a few decisions in the past corresponded with the fans' way of thinking. This by no means that Vince McMahon sat down and took a poll of what was wanted by his viewers. Now, there have been plenty of times in the last couple of years that the creative team took a whole different approach than what was expected. For example, Roman Reigns getting shoved down your throats. The fans boycotted this certain decision for months and months, but the WWE, nor Vince, gave a rat's as*. They continued to push Roman, because that was the original idea. You never heard them try to persuade you otherwise. The only time I can even remember that Michael Cole or someone was ordered to try to camouflage the entire situation, was when they would state things like "The night after WrestleMania is when the fans cheer for who they hate and boo for who they love".
Never have I seen where Michael or other WWE officials immediately tried to work a certain situation into the storyline (within minutes after it happened). I did see that last night. It only took them one commercial break to turn the uproar about Kurt choosing Corbin as his last opponent into a storyline piece. Never has the WWE cared enough about their viewers' feedback to go to the extent of adding it immediately to the storyline. I know for a fact that there has been much larger social media uproars about decisions that Vince and the creative team has made. So, you can not tell me that the uproar last night was so insane that they felt like they needed to add it to the storyline and clear it up immediately. Nope, not buying it. Baron Corbin and Kurt Angle both mentioned the fan uproar on social media (which never happens). And, Kurt's wife even tweeted under JR's tweet, "Underwhelming", the word "Very". I may be entirely wrong, but I have watched this product for many, many, many years, and I just feel like Vince is playing a game. He just wants to prove, that no, he isn't concerned about the viewers opinions. I feel like this is all kayfabe and is just going to lead to something bigger. But, then again, I may be dead wrong.

Hopefully John cena knocks out Corbin with a shovel before the match and then comes out to face kurt angle while rocking a new fruity pebbles shirt

Seth Rollins or Becky Lynch will possibly main event and Kofi Kingston is close to getting a WWE title match at WrestleMania and you say WWE aren’t listening to the fans? lol as for the original question yes it’ll probably happen despite everyone not liking it and Kurt trying to defend it: http://instagram.com/p/BvLP1xBHccg

I really don't understand the hate for Corbin. He plays the nasty heel role perfectly and when he gets his comeuppance it's always sweet.
Also Angle can't really go anymore so we aren't going to get a 5 star classic regardless of who his opponent is. Story wise Corbin is a good choice because he was the one who got Angle fired as GM so he can retire and get his revenge on him at Mania.

Like it or not, the match with Corbin actually makes sense. They've built to it for months with no pay off... till now. Plus Corbin could use a big win or lose to Angle and not be affected much. "Vince is playing a game. He just wants to prove, that no, he isn't concerned about the viewers opinions."Guess we're just gonna ignore the whole Kofi thing happening at the moment?

What about people who hate faces?

I like Corbin, he's a great heel and much improved both in ring and on the mic. But Angle is one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. He deserved not only a bigger name, but a more appealing match. Look at some of the previous Mania retirement matches.
Austin got The Rock Flair gor Michaels Michaels got The Undertaker
Sorry, but a match with Corbin doesn't come close to good enough for a retirement match.

It is a letdown. No doubt. I can see them wanting Kurt to give the shine to a young star on his way out but..
The issue is Corbin is awful.

I really don't understand the hate for Corbin. He plays the nasty heel role perfectly and when he gets his comeuppance it's always sweet. It's because for people today it isn't enough to see someone get their comeuppance, now they also want to see the person's marriage fall apart and destroy their livelihood and reputation by bringing up stupid crap they did or said as a kid.
Anyway, watching RAW right now and glad we got a friendly Gable vs Angle match, even if it was mostly hidden by commercials *eyeroll*
Two people who are actual wrestlers and WWE is like, nope, people don't want to see technical prowess, they want more Heyman talking about bullcrap.

Maybe Kurt and Corbin will make it out to the ring, the bell readys, but then the lights go out and the infamous gong plays. Lights come back and Taker is in the ring. He takes out Baron with a chokeslam and we get Taker-Angle instead.

Watch this match be a surprisingly good match. But I can't believe you aren't complaining about the other thing. WWE has relegated one of their building blocks for the future in Braun Strowman to the pre-show battle royal.

They have 17 matches booked so far. It'll be 5 minutes (including entrances).
Angle deserves more than that. Imagine if he loses...

Problem isn't so much Corbin but that fact that this is Angle's final match and at Wrestlemania.Angle/Corbin is a RAW match or a match on a must lesser B level PPV.For a legend like Angle he's earned the right to face bigger star, someone that he has a long history with in the likes of Brock,Cena,Taker,Styles,Joe..ect all of whom are currently in the WWE or fresher young talent that could use the rub like Gable last night.
If for some reason they couldn't get Cena for the match and with how the card is already shaping should have just went with Shelton Benjmain.Ya he's in his early 40's now but can still go and has a long history with Angle.Theirs and easy storyline you could build between the two in a matter of weeks and Benjamin is good enough still to carry Angle to a passable match up and something I think most fans could live with.It still would have been a little dissapointing with it being Benjamin but in no way shape or form would it have gotten the backlash that this Corbin match is getting.

I’m sorry but, Corbin is just boring. Dude looks like Applebee’s manager or something along those lines. I think any other opponent would of been better to be honest.

Corbin makes sense, but the fact that a Chicago crowd last night chanted “we want cena” is pretty surreal (and this is coming from the biggest Cena fan) lol
Also just ignore all the people that have recently been pushed by popular demand and say they don’t listen to the fans because one thing doesn’t go your way

I feel like it has to be a swerve. I could see him squashing Corbin in like 30 seconds, then Cena comes out as his actual opponent.
... It has to be something better than this.
