Great character, great talent at playing the character, great career but for me I lose respect for the "locker room leader" when I hear of wrestler's court. A real leader would take a young man coming in privately to the side and explain the way things work and try to teach them.

Love him. He's one of, if not the greatest of all time in my opinion.

One of the best. Amazing how he kept his character going for so long in a world of wrestling where characters weren’t really a thing anymore. It amazed me how he never really showed up places out of character or just didn’t show up.

Only deceased wrestler to ever still compete inside the ring. That is pretty impressive!

No doubt he is the GOAT, maybe could have done without his last couple Mania appearances though.

The first 6 years of his career as The Undertaker are my favorite.
The WrestleMania win at 13 and beyond the character went through some crazy changes with the heel turn of Bearer, introduction of Kane, then the Ministry of Darkness stuff. Can't say this was my favorite stuff, but better then what would come next.
I was at the RAW in Indianapolis the night after his return as ABA. I had an awesome Undertaker sign with an urn, casket and his T symbol.. then here comes this DOA knockoff. Wasn't happy. Didn't see the PPV the night before or know his new gimmick. I'd just read he returned. Blah. Didn't like the gimmick at ALL.
His return to the Deadman gimmick and subsequent return of Paul Bearer is cool to me, even though my WWE fandom had wained to the point I barely saw any of it.
The video for Taker that everyone thought was Sting... I remember that a handful of years back and I remember being really excited for the possibilities.
The last few Manias and such were okay, for nostalgia and respect purposes. I think he should've only lost once at Mania, if at all. To lose to Brock, then return.. ehh.. kinda devalues not just his streak but the character and history as a whole to me.
Personally, I don't know him but I do admire his persistence to stay in character for all the time he did. Though I'd say ABA was a major killing kayfabe time..
Either way..
He's probably one of the WWEs top 5 creations of all time.

I respect his longevity in the business, but I was never really a fan. I didnt like him working in a funeral parlor, I didnt like him as leader of the Ministry, I didnt like him as a biker, I kind of liked him when he came back as the Deadman from 2004-2008 using boxing and Brazilian Jiujitsu moves and I didnt like him as a warlock working the Santa Claus schedule.

Wasn't a fan of his the first 5 years or so, started to really respect him when they let him wrestle and he was finally able to show what he could do. I think working with Mick Foley, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, Steve Austin, Edge, etc. really showed how good (in-ring wise) he really was.

so overrated, he has maybe a hand full of matches that are good, but most if not all his matches are slow and he plods along and he has been like that for years.
however, i did like the following matches
taker vs bret hart summerslam 1997 vs mankind king of the ring 98 taker vs the rock vs kurt angle vengence 2002? and I liked when he came back at judgement day 2000, the crowd went crazy for him.
I hope he is not wrestling at wrestlemania.

I respect what hes done and there's been some great matches with him - cell matches with hbk, mankind, brock etc but I'm not a big fan. Always seemed to prefer his opponents.

HATED ministry Taker, and Biker taker was only so fun. cool for the times i guess, but i wasnt a true taker mark after wm13 anymore. LOVED him as his debut charcater!

Good performer. Always understood his character and adapted to the time period. There will probably never be another character trait as significant as The Streak.

The only time I really couldn't stand the character was 1999 during the Ministry. During that summer when he was teaming with the Big Show my finger couldn't switch me to WCW quick enough.

Personally I liked him the most when he was grey gloved. Once he came back in the purple I still liked him but not as much as previously. Didn’t really care when he changed it up to the American Bada$$. That was by far my least favorite of his gimmicks.
